Cool Stuff sale

By derekstanggt, in X-Wing

This issue with flash sales and rotating sales is a reason I go to MM for a lot on my wants. (that and a FLGS that seems to space out when I request something not on the shelves). I can grab something small if it's on sale or back in stock, and just let the orders pile up to the $100 free shipping. Not quite instant gratification, but, I figure once I've played and / or painted everything in my closet, then I can worry more about instant gratification.

CSI used to have X-wing sales where most of the line was on sale, but I haven't seen that in a long time. Now, I do have other games I collect, so it's worth it to keep my eyes open. Which is probably good, since I don't need anything in big lots for X-wing. I just keep up with most of the new waves. (thank goodness).

I have been eye-ball'n 'em all week and they have been jackasses this year. One or two items on sale for a day, then something elses on the following day and so on. Rotation sales are not fun. You can not swoop in like back in the day and grab a $100 covering a NICE VARIETY of products.

Meh... collecting this game ain't much fun anymore.

That's so true, Joe. Plus their prices have gone up across the board. Small ships used to be $9.99 as recently as early this year; now they're all $11.29. I bought the YT-2400 there back in the day for $14.99! That's unheard of nowadays.

But I thought the Shadow Caster and HOTR expansions were a good price considering they're still so new. I had to jump.

Again thank Asmodee for their purchase of FFG and the squeezing of us their customers for nore $$$$$.

The higher prices do not benefit ANYONE except ASMODEE and the CEOs lining their pockets.

You can all stop complaining about the exorbitant prices of the hobby now. I live in Australia, and x-wing is ridiculously expensive here:

In-store: (AUD)

$26 for small blisters.

$32 for large blisters.

$50-54 for Ace packs/ small boxes.

$70 for HOTR.

In-store: (USD)

$20 for small blisters.

$24 for large blisters.

$38 for Ace packs/ small boxes.

$52.5 for HOTR.

So about double the US price. Give-or-take. Additionally, China is closer to Australia, so the games are shipped past Australia to the US, and back again. Otherwise, why are the games so ridiculously expensive here?

So quit complaining.

The price difference is due to simple economics, not FFG. Currently the US dollar is stronger than the Australian dollar, where $1 USD = $1.35 AUD. Thus, the prices are actually comparable:

$20 USD = $27 AUD

$24 USD = $32.4 AUD

$38 USD = $51.3 AUD

$52.5 USD = $70.9 AUD

OG falcon, t-70, and tie F/O on sale today!

My second box turned up today :)

Is that two B-Wings I see in that loot; nice!.....so you know something I don't know; I'd love to fly my red and blue B's more often.

Do tell...... ;)

It is a nice haul.

:)

The BEST way to play these games: AT HOME and NOT WITH GAMERS!

 ;) <_<

B-Wings are awesome - I only had 1 regular B-Wing and the 1 from Rebel Aces, felt like time to see if I can revive a BBBB- list and surprise some folks ;)

Not sure where in the US those prices are coming from...small are $15 US, Large $20 US, $30-50 on boxes depending on the ship/packaging size. I don't know if I have ever seen X-Wing on the shelf above suggested retail pricing. Yes, we do have to pay taxes on everything, but here in South Carolina that is 6%, so not too much more.

every time i see AUD prices for any miniature i feel sorry for you guys. Man that is expensive....

I wonder if it's possible to setup a CSI/MM type website based in AU that would get better prices by shipping in bulk or similar.

I feel your pain. I do not collect for the 100/6... I am all about Dat EPIC. I agree that the current sales are good, now if they last until I get paid tomorrow.

Prolly not!cursing.gif... FUFFG!!!

Hurray CSI did keep the sales on until I got my credits sorted! :o  ^_^

I saved over $30 on my $112 order tonight! in addition to their regular discounted prices. :D

nice! What did you get?

HOTR and the wacky Shadow Caster which are $16 bucks off when you grab them together. CSI had the Imps and Rebs squadrons for ARMADA for $10, so grabbing three saved me $15 more bucks... Dat $30 Buck Glory!

Also I have had my eye on a few of the better monsters for Mansions that are not available (for some reason) as goodies in an Expansion. Grabbed up a good half dozen of them.

I went buck-wild at AMAZON too and got some cool stuff there... yeah baby!
