Knight Level and starting level are both fine with me, but the character concept I have both wouldn't start with a full lightsaber and would want to acquire one in play if she could, so I want to ask a question.

If we start at Knight Level, and one or more of the other players picked a lightsaber over credits, would we still get the chance to acquire one in play? Or would you decide that we'd already missed our chance?

Oh, I want a light saber at some point, but I'm perfectly fine not starting with one.

Nobody starts with a lightsaber it will be less complicated if I give you all ones instead of only some

Alright. Knight Level gives a choice between starting with a lightsaber and a large number of credits. Is this you saying "no Knight Level," or "yes Knight Level, but you can only take the credits"?

Edit as for Knight Level Vs. Basic we could do "Apprintece level" 75XP and 5K credits.

At least for my character, this could mean the difference of race/age/what war I was in/entire backstory

Since it's the beginner game, I think the time would (IIRC) be... somewhere around a year after ANH.

In the book its 10K and in my expirience at least. People manage to spend a fairly large amount of those before play starts.
