I am getting 4 of my friends and myself x-wing gifts for Christmas and want to give us a good start in the game. Here is what I'm thinking.

1. A copy of both base sets for everyone. My thought is this gives a bunch of options for play and it doesn't lead anyone down a specific faction path.
2. A copy of FA core set and an expansion based on what I think they would like. If I choose this I need to know what expansions for Rebels and Imperials to get (not sure what is useful).

Any advise would be appreciated.
