Defensive tokens when defending against counter?

By SoonerTed, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Can you use defensive tokens (from aces) when the opponent uses counter?

Counter is an attack .

So you follow the attack steps, which includes Spending Defense Tokens as a Defender.

Because counter is an attack, you can also add all of those nasty bonuses to it, like Swarm , or using Howlrunner , for example.

Thanks

Dras is correct (as usual).

I wish there was some kind of GIANT BOLDED WORDS in the Counter description to make it clear it's an attack with the only difference being how you determine which/how many dice to roll and when it triggers. I get questions from my Armada guys about Counter all the time that are due to the general confusion as to how much of an attack it counts as.

as to how much of an attack it counts as.

ALL OF THEM

ALL OF THEM

Except for other counters. ;)

Double post, derp.

That goes without saying.

Its written in the rules, man. Even then, its written in the summary ... Sure, its not bold, but its **** well italic'd .... :D And counter is Bolded in the Non-counter wording.....

Except for other counters. ;)

The same is true of it's being an attack, yet how many questions do you field on "is counter an attack????"?

Buggered if I know.

I've kept records that say I've painted 152 TIE Fighter Squadrons in the past 12 months.

But I don't keep records on Questions anymore.

Not since that time ..
