The real question is this:
What other objectives can be so horrible for me I'd pick OS in just this configuration?

As a CR90 Cracken/Mothma fanboy, OS seems like the worst objective in the world to me
To clear up a few things:
Ted. If you only use flotillas and large ships with opening salvo, then it is point effective for your opponent to ram you with anything smaller than a vsd for approx 200pts.
Undying. If you think it is easy to catch an intel sweep ship that likely deployed last you are somewhat deluded.
Opening salvo has a place. It is with fast low hull ships that tend to die once they take hull damage. Flotillas dont really fall into that category, but are cheap so nevermind. ISDs and MC80s definitely dont fit into this.

On a note to add, Gink - I took it with my Double Interdictors... As a total exception to what you're saying... But it fit that specific list concept:
Mostly, because, being double interdictors - I was going to be confident taht my generally lower attack dice would let me push damage through to the hull, but not neccessarily score my kills... But my stupidly large engineering value would confidently let me throw Damage cards away.... And it did just that.
Nothing wrong with exceptions, as long as they are made in full knowledge.

It's fairly easy to catch the objective ship if you deploy correctly. Plus you know where it is going, so it have better get 3 tokens by round 4, before you opponent can engage or block your path. Beating Intel Sweep is easy.

Raiders + Flotillas + something else to deal with a bigger threat. Not just flotillas and large ships. Not sure who mentioned a Liberty, but that wasn't me ![]()
I'm also just shooting the breeze since there is no article out.

Dual Glads with 2-4 flotillas and Rhymer Ball would be a good threat. But I'd expect your opponent to choose your blue objective in that case, which should be Intel since you have the Glads to hold off anything that gets close. And Hyperspace Assault to round it off.
A discussion on Sato and Opening Salvo made me reread that card. Keeping in mind the hard counter to an all-flotilla list is
MadineCracken...
If you are second player, getting two black dice added to your pool makes attacking with combat flotillas an interesting idea....
Edited to fix silly mistake.
Make an all flotilla list with Rieekan and opening salvo. "Night of the Living Flotillas"

Wouldn't superior positions be better to have than Intel Sweep?

Personal preference really. I like higher point ships with Superior because I can get them deployed correctly so I can't be flanked. Smaller ships with Intel because they are faster and I can stiff arm while I take small shots.
Both can work, but if you take Rhymerball Superior can yield even more points.

Interesting thought experiment with the two GSD's, one might take the cheap Insidious title and cause havoc with both Superior Positions and Hyperspace Assault
I would say that for all-flotilla (or mainly-flotilla) fleets one does need to commit hard to those Tractor Beams. the only problem with the idea is that you can'r guarantee that Opening Salvo will be chosen.
(I do run opening salvo in one of my list nowadays and I think it's unlikely I'll ever play it)
I got to play it in my Double-Dictor list, the one time that I was out-bid on Initiative....
... Mostly because Fleet Ambush while facing Nose-Punch Bombers and multiple G7-Xs wasn't going to happen... And I had that on top of GravShift for Minefields, so really, Opening Salvo was the best choice...
Super regret not taking fleet ambush for the lulz... also, those extra opening Salvo dice really add up, I was taken off guard by that and lost ISD at least a turn sooner because of it. .. but I think the objective can definitely be risky to include in your list, as it's basically a dream come true for trc swarms as first. ..
