Bodyguard and Wing Guards Keep The Peace

By aermet69, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Wing Guards Keep The Peace: "When a hostile figure declares an attack targeting a space adjacent to you, if that space does not contain a friendly Guardian , you may suffer 1 [strain] . If you do, the attacker suffers 1 [strain] . Limit 1 'Keep the Peace' ability used per attack."

Bodyguard Command Card: " Use when an attack targeting an adjacent friendly figure is declared . If you could be the target of that attack, the attack targets your instead."

Could I possibly use Keep The Peace first, to deal one strain, and then use Bodyguard to retarget the attack to my Wing Guard?

Both are defender abilities with the same trigger (declaring an attack / target), so you can choose the order in which to resolve them.

If you resolve Keep the Peace first, you can suffer 1 strain to make the attacker suffer 1 strain. You then resolve other abilities with the same trigger and can use Bodyguard to switch the target (and the target space).

An attack can only have one target and one targeted space. If you first play Bodyguard on the Wing Guard, the Wing Guard will become the target of the attack and the targeted space would be your space, and thus Keep the Peace would not apply.
