Not much!

We get a few major characters, that are all in Rogue One:

• Galen Erso (never flies anything, avowed pacifist on no side)
• Lyra Erso (ditto)
• Jyn Erso (novel ends with her still a child...decade or more before events of movie?)
• Orson Krennic (never flies anything, definitely Imperial)

Where I see some real possibility is in two smugglers introduced - at least one showing up in the movie:

• Has Obitt (smugger that worked for crime lords, then the Empire, then on his own - freighter pilot, of unknown ship type. DEFINITELY Scum faction)
• Saw Gerrera (worked with Has on his last two jobs, hates the Empire, but mostly works on his own. Definitely from this book Scum faction, and flies a freighter of unknown type)

I continue to hold out for the possibility that SWX58 is Saw, in his 'Partisan' X-Wing (at this period), as a Scum ship.

He's very definitely 'Scum' in 'Catalyst', anyway - granted that's a LONG time before 'Rogue One', and he doesn't have an X-Wing, yet, nor is hanging out with 'partisans'.
