Manaroo vs Old Teroch - order of effects?

By Kroc, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi all,

we are just playing a game at the moment and got following question that we don't know the answer to:

At the beginning of the combat phase, does manaroo first switch her tokens to another ship or does Old Teroch frist strip them?

Is this resolved by which player has initiative or by pilot skill of the sources?

Thanks guys and keep on playin'!

Initiative. If you're Manaroo, you want to keep initiative against the likes of Terry or Palob.

It is resolved by initiative.

So if Teroch has the initiative, he can take tokens from Manaroo before she passes them on, but CANNOT strip them from a ship which receives them from Manaroo.

If Teroch does not have the initiative, he cannot strip the token from Manaroo before she passes them on, but CAN strip them from a ship which receives them from her.

It's a timing conflict as both have the same trigger point, so initiative decides who goes first. It's never decided by pilot skill.

Any similar timing conflicts are always decided by initiative.
