My good people. I feel like an idiot. I've read all four corebook's but somehow i've missed part where is mentioned in what year the 3rd ediotion is starting.

One of the maps has the date 2521 on it I think, so it is at least that year.

Storm of Chaos hasn't fully started yet, but there was mention of Surtha Lenk attacking the northern borders in some fluff somewhere I think. The storm of chaos starts proper in 2522, so general concensus is it's either later 2521 or early 2522!

I don't think it is specifically stated anywhere though, basically allowing you to base a campaign in which ever season you feel like without it breaking the canon of the RAW.

So 2521 sounds good to me.

I reckon FFG will progress the actual in game time line "slowly" if at all, especially as GW also seem to be reluctant to do so with WFB at the moment, I think I read somewhere...?

In the ToB, in the chapter on Corruption & Heresy, there is a story of a Chaos cult called the Bortherhood of the Untold Aeons. It mentions that the cult met for the last time on Hexentag, 2522. This would imply that that date has already past.
