The Domains so far:

Demo Deck
F11, F12, F13
F14, F15, F16
Same two triptychs as the Arkham Edition two, but the reverse side is the original Call of Cthulhu Collectible Card Game, versus AE with the same image on both sides.

Arkham Edition (no illustrator credits)
F11, F12, F13 Two investigators with lamp point out a spooky mansion
F14, F15, F16 Rune Pillars in Winter

Arkham Premium (both illus. Michael Komarch)
I 1, I2, I3 Deep Woods Midnight Fire Dance Orgy
M1, M2, M3 Graveyard Tomb

Eldritch Edition F251, F252, F253 (illus. Aaron Acevedo) Investigators with ropes in Grand Cavern

Eldritch Premium
I48, I49, I50 (illus. Aaron Acevedo) Stunned G-Man drops Pistol on Yuggoth
M48, M49, M50 (illus. Alan Bednar) Steps underground, two Cultists in flame guard a tomb.
These triptychs have the old card backs again.

Thats a very helpful reference, thanks. I think 6 cards are missing though if I am not incorrect. I thought the total was 27 unique domain cards (not including the duplicate art from the demo decks).

Were there domain cards in the arkham edition investigator and mythos starter decks?

I don't know that answer. But, almost certainly, no different cards appeared in the AE boosters that were not in the AE Monster and Investigator decks. To this day, and the question has been asked for years, no one in the community has been able to fully analyze the AE deck distribution. Sure, they had three rares and nine uncommons and 15 Expedition Leaders. Were the Monster and Investigator decks different from each other? One would think, but they may not have been. Besides, boosters never had domains. So they must've come only from the decks, F11-13 in the Investigator deck and F14-16 with the monstahs.

Regardless, I would be shocked to find more Domains than those listed above. I'd give my list a 98% chance of accuracy. But, without more information, who's going to contradict their own findings.

And the deckbuilder lists the same seven sets of domains...I'm up to 99% sure now.

Seems to me you're right, Johnny ! I haven't got any different Domains in my collection ... except the ones especially designed by the CENACLE, for the French Nationals ^^

PRODIGEE, do tell. Le Cenacle made their own Domains for French Nationals? Cool. Love to see them. I remember the race car story cards. That was from your neighborhood too perhaps?

Oh, and an earlier post suggeted domains and stories alternating every other year. Most would argue, for the L in LCG to remain true, for new stories at least yearly.

I am going to have to agree with you. I miscounted the domain card list I saw Chris Long post on the BGG forums. Though I like your list better since it is more concise. Unless there is some mysterious release, it looks like 21 unique domain cards total.

1. Arkham Starter - Mythos
2. Arkham Starter - Investigators
3. Arkham Premium Starter - Mythos
4. Arkham Premium Starter - Investigators
5. Eldritch Starter
6. Eldritch Premium Starter - Mythos
7. Eldritch Premium Starter - Investigators

In fact, that was Articman who created these domains (made with proxies, but the card is from the original illustration from Tribe). There are fitting well for the CENACLE members, so we offered some for the Nationals (I still play with them : Cenacle Power!)

Concerning the Race car story, the CENACLE developped earlier a "fanmade" story deck, which is is relation with "Cthulhu in paris, by the roaring Twenties". Our only problem was the design of the template of story cad (where Tribe did helped use a lot too). We had no time to take it back on tracks, but, as soon as the mulitplayers rules will be finalized (there was a lot more proposition since a week), we'll get back to work...

Here's the story Tribe created (french version)

cartet11.jpg

text is "Each player search his deck for up to 3 cultists, show them to his opponent and put them in his hand or discard pile"

I suggested to Nate a while back that they should replace that hunk of carboard that is mixed in the AP's with somekind of domain 'card(s)'

Of course that would end up raising the price of the AP's a little, but I can't imagine it would be too much of a hike up.

Three cultists! Look out humans! Thanks, saved it. Looks great! We could do the grand prix again too if you'd like. I'd save that too.

That hunk of cardboard might be keeping the cards straight. If so, they're good as dividers between AP in my card boxes.

1. I.. uh.. ya lost me.

2. Hunks of cardboard. Dividing lcg cards since 2008.

I was responding to PRODIGEE regarding the effect of the story card. Had the card read, "Place all Investigators in your deck into play," I would have said, look out monsters.

And certainly a card is better than a hunk of cardboard. I just figured the thick board served a purpose keeping the cards from warping in the celophane over time and fluctuating conditions. That said, there have been some packaging debates for sure. The core, as great as most of it is, in the internal packaging department, got panned. And remember the weird corrugated cardboard piece in the first of the APs in the new boxes. Those were a mystery.

I would totally want to see Domain cards come back...

It seems that FFG have taken heed to the outcry for domain cards.

Random_Person has shown us that FFG are willing to make some with GenCon promo domains. I myself have seen Jaffer Batica's domain cards he had an intern create in March during the short lived league. It is revealed that Arkham Nights will also have promotional domains. FFG have recognized the consumer's demand for domain cards, yet ....still no domain cards released to the general public for sale.

Last month, a Cenacle forum member by the name of Arxlite had made a group of 18 unique domain cards. While they lack the pizazz of the triptych art panel style, they are indeed quite good.

I know this because I uploaded those very same pieces of art he cobbled together to a card printing service and received the domains yesterday.

The card quality is as good if not perhaps better than the LCG cards that FFG gets printed. The print quality is definitely superior to what FFG produces. No joke or exaggeration. I wish these pics did these cards the justice they deserve.

Follow the link below to see the original art and also on how to get these:

www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/557042/fanmade-domain-cards

Note: these cards were originally supposed to have a whiteborder, but I formatted it so that the border appeared 'full bleed'. While I am pleased with the result, the printing service was less than exact and a few cards got misaligned when cut (see:bottom center).

I have since changed the formatting on the printing service as well as edited the pics so that you not only get a border instead of full bleed, but you have a choice between white or black bordered domains.

I am hoping to convince Arxlite to make the card borders full bleed so that all you get is art on the card instead of a white or black border. The full bleed green marble effect being superior to uninspired monochromatic borders.

Here's some other cool things:

Story card cases

And stone domain markers

Hellfury, this is a great find! I'm now very tempted to order a couple sets as Halloween gifts for my players.

What's the pink picture top left though? I can't make that out.

Its not a bad deal. You can either get three sets with the same image on each side of the cards or six sets with a different image on each side of the card for $10 S&H included. Depending on which one you order, it costs between $1.50 - $3 for a set of 18 domains after they have been split up.

The picture on the top left is the white ship sailing over the dreamlands, likely Ilek-vad.

All of this info is available through the link in the post above.

@manitou

Those are pretty cool. I used Chick Lewis' idea of card cases too, but for the domains instead. The 3 card cases and a couple loose ones that you shown, in case things like eldritch nexus or some other card effect gives a new domain. They work a treat for domains and look really slick.

Here is the 3 card cases I am talking about

I think they are called "Black bordered 3 card screwdown holder" ...or at least thats what I used when I searched for them to buy.

Great idea, HellFury ! I just ordered six of the three-card holders for my 18 different fan-made, colorcrayons-formatted domain cards !

Chick

Gosh !!

These is a really good information : I'll order the 3-domains case, it's pretty awesome.

Thank you guys !

Here is a pic to get some idea of how well they might work before you buy.

If you put two cards in each slot, then they wont slide around inside and you can use one case for two different types of domain card art. The cases add a nice bit of weight to keep the resources from shifting.

OOF ! They look ultrabueno ! And nice to see someone else putting the domains at the side, as I do. How does your Miskatonic Hastur deck work out?

Its the only way to do it so you have an actual play area.

As for the deck....its hopeless garbage... serio.gif

Heh, mixing 2 factions with the worst possible characters in them together is never a good idea :)

So... many... good... ideas. sorpresa.gif

I think I'll have to borrow them all gran_risa.gif
