Man I also rewatched A New Hope yesterday while preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The battle of Yavin is so freaking awesome. None of the other movies come close to that scene. While ROTJ's Battle of Endor is pretty cool, that deseparate high stakes attack on the Death Star is so freaking cool!

I really love that Xwing engine whine as well and the garbled comms when the flights are checking in.

As noted above, evade action. Or maybe Target Lock shedding.

Barrel Roll in x-wing isn't really barrel rolling, either, the forward movement in barrel rolling is a lot greater.

I've seen people propose a sideslip move (using a turn template to do an inverse t-roll, either starting from the side and ending with the template in the rear guides, or starting from the front and ending at the sides) which would be much more like a real barrel roll.

To be fair, that's already sort of what the current barrel roll does, when you visualize it as part of the maneuver as a whole, instead of as a separate action.

Maybe with a +1 Agility, because you're SLIGHTLY harder to hit?

I think an Aileron Roll is too granular a maneuver for the scale of X-wing. It might be represented by an Evade token or just a good green dice roll.

Good green dice fits best imho. And well, the X-Wing barrel roll is imho ok as barrel roll, the forward movement comes from your maneuver anyway and one of the reasons to make a barrel roll is the get rid of some forward momentum and slow down, which can lead to someone on your six overshooting you.

Jup, the only issue with the X-Wing is that some of the pilots are overpriced, not all, but some.

Give the T-65 an equivalent of the 'A-Wing Test Pilot Title' with a discount on the second EPT... That'd fix 'em.

I never saw the black on Poe's T-70 during last year's trailers for TFA... and I recently thought I saw the Partisan X-wing blasting at the AT-ACT walkers in the R1 trailers... but that turned out to be blue. So I have a hard time seeing the colors clearly so I need to ask:

Am I the last one to notice the AT-ACTs are a much darker shade like charcoal?... compared to the walkers in ESB and on SW:Rebels.

Arcs are important. Except against turrets. And the whole point of the Wotan Weave was that it was really good at getting in against turrets.

Fun trailer.....I just hope the Empire, namely the storm-troopers are not relegated to something akin to Ewok fodder. It just takes something away from a movie when the Evil overpowered Empire's soldiers are comical idiots who can be obliterated by just about anyone or anything. Episode 7 started out OK for them, especially the light-bar-club-weilding guy; but their ability waned towards the end.

Also, I hope the creators can please stop talking about politics publicly; don't they realize this is our escape from such topics?
