Happy Friday NEW ROGUE ONE TRAILER IS AMAZING
One of those X-Wings definitely equipped Vectored Thrusters.
X-Wings are OP against AT-ACTs.

You heard it here first. X-Wing fix is a title that gives BR action and a points discount.
X-Wings should be able to BR and boost. -2 points.
Maybe they'd be almost half as good as Defenders then.
Is it Friday again... already?!

Rouge One is great!

Looks like Yavin in one of those shots.
Happy Friday people! I've had a cracking week of X-wing, managing to make my first ever cut in our local regional. No-where close to winning, but best tourney result I've ever had, so pleased with that!
Remember folks - Rey is bae.

No T-65 fix, then...
That was an aileron roll, not a barrel roll.

After attacking, the ship may perform both a boost and barrel roll.
That was an aileron roll, not a barrel roll.
What's the difference?

What's the difference?
Aileron rolls spin on the craft's axis without displacing it laterally.
Barrel rolls spin and displace laterally.
Kinda.
Maybe we could see there some stuff with JarJar Binks as a child (The adventures of Jarry)

So .... X-Wings are going to get evade ![]()

During a barrel roll the craft looks like it "slides" on the inside wall of an invisible barrel.
Aileron roll is just spinning, arguably a good trick.

Vector thrusters allow you to make a barrel roll, those X-Wings did a allerion roll. No vectored thrusters need for that ;-)
edit: I was too late to be a smartass, damit.

That YouTube channel needs better friends...
After watching that, I can see an air ground game happening. OK...I don't think it would really happen in X-wing, but it would be neat.
Oh, and HAPPY FRIDAY! Even if it's Black Friday. Stay safe! I was lucky and got the one thing my family wanted out of all the sales last night. I went to Walmart where it was pretty calm. One warrior dad (who had already been to Best Buy and Target) said that Walmart was an isle of calm in a crazy world.

Out of curiosity, given Barrel Roll's implementation in X-Wing, what could an Aileron Roll possibly look like mechanically?

As noted above, evade action. Or maybe Target Lock shedding.
Barrel Roll in x-wing isn't really barrel rolling, either, the forward movement in barrel rolling is a lot greater.
I've seen people propose a sideslip move (using a turn template to do an inverse t-roll, either starting from the side and ending with the template in the rear guides, or starting from the front and ending at the sides) which would be much more like a real barrel roll.

I think an Aileron Roll is too granular a maneuver for the scale of X-wing. It might be represented by an Evade token or just a good green dice roll.

It wouldn't look like anything. There's no horizontal displacement (left or right) of the flight path and inline with the ship it would be indistinguishable from a boost action. It would have to be an action giving some type of defensive boost if put into the game.

Is there not? I always thought there was. Shows what I know I guess.
A true barrel roll would probably look like a 1 or a 2 hard, but you use the side of the base, sliding it as far forward as possible.
