Shield Redirect question

By jbc98k, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

If I have a stock Corvette B that has no remaining shields on the front (bow) but still has two shields on both the left (port) and right (starboard) and I take two hits to my front (bow) from an enemy ship can I redirect the hits to one of my sides even though my front (bow) with no shields is the targeted hull zone?

Yes that is exactly what Redirect does. You could redirect the two to either side with the Redirect defense token.

But NOT to both sides. You pick one hull zone to redirect to, and you have to suffer your incoming damage on those two hull zones.

Note: you just have to declare you're using the redirect during the spend defense tokens step, you don't have to select the hull zone until you're actually taking damage.

Unless you have advanced projectors and he dones not have xi7s......

True, BUT he said it was a stock CR90 B. Which could take advanced projectors I suppose....

(Insert obligatory remark about Capacitor Failure damage card here)
