Heh, I just ordered an Imperial Cruiser from Mel so I can try my hand at painting an Imp ship before I get rid of those silly dark squares and fix my fleet. Makes the back of my eyeballs itch to look at them for very long.

I've been mega sick over the past four days...but I clawed my way to the top of the pile of plastic and got some humble offerings for you all:
First up, we have the last 3 squadrons of Y-wings I intend to paint. I did one as the Jammer ace.
Next, I wasn't happy with that bright blue of the Tri-droids, so I muted the colors a little bit.
Next we have a ship I'll probably never use...the hounds tooth.
Now finally....the first taste of the Wave V goodness:
Hopefully the decimator and the Lambda will be done tomorrow.
excellent cleen work on those phantoms and defenders. Very Nice. Good Work
No idea how you get these tiny models to be so crisp and clean up close.
I pretty much just paint mine to look good at about a foot away lol

Defenders look awesome. Did you use a white/grey base? You shamed me into trying to paint my next defender base, rather than just dry brushing.

A steady hand and a good brush brotha...winsor and newton series 7 00...I live and die by it.
Oh and whilst we're on the subject of new hotness...some salvaged Republic Z95's in Alliance use.

I saw some cloaking Phantoms the other day and just had to do them for my Whisperer.
Even did some E-wings.

The Ghost...and Jammer!
So now brings me to this...I'm not sure if I like the paint job. Capital ships have NEVER been my strong suit and the idea was to put a starbird on the bow but the decals went south on me and it's kinda just naked here. I'm not sure how to improve this paint job tbh and I'm honestly open to suggestions.

have you tried the cis ship in traditional blue? color warmth can sometimes totally change how the ship looks: he red might just be too loud: it segments the hull a bit when you dont want it to?
