I figured I'd just make my own dedicated thread....because...well...I'm crazy...and I decided my Rebel ships needed a touch up to bring them to the empire's level of "pop"

The ARC-170s are awesome. By far my favorite star wars fighter.

Just wait boys...it's gonna get real cool in here real soon.

That is one hell of a convincing replica of the FFG stock paint.

Did this a while back and its awesome. I totally agree with you mate.....if anyone is hesitant I can confirm that they look a lot better!!!

Winsor and Newton 00 brush.

Also consider this, dark wash....it's your friend....then use your base color add a little white = win

Oh but wait...there is more! I got a little OCD and did another batch of X-wings (which are drying right now :/)

I also jazzed up my Arc's with some highlights to make them pop....followed it up with a run through of the GR75's. I painted the cockpit, the cargo pods, the black stand to blend with the bases, and the engine nozzles.

All in all...I think I'm rounding it out nice...because now I'm working on my B-wing swarm with a special surprise in there.

I think I'm gonna take a crack at some phoenix squadron A-wings, paint up some more Y-wings, and round out my Tie Swarm...got about two weeks before the Hunters and Tie Droids arrive.

Next few weeks are gonna see me move into my new house, and then I'll do some painting guides for you guys.

Time to make a special character....Ten Numb deserves a special ride.

Me too, as well as all of the other new characters. Have one of each squadron type primered up and ready for the unannounced ones as well.

Yeah I like to think I have an unhealthy obsession with painting squadrons...

Where earth did you get the Venator and the ARC-170s?? Armada ship yards? Also what kind of paints do you use, I've been looking into buying some models online and custom painting them myself and now is the perfect time to get some!

Please tell me how to do those Y-Wings... They are soooooo good!
