So I've been tooling around with some of the Imperial cards I never see, and came up with this.

I really like Isard with Slicer Tools in the mix. Lets me maximize my dickery of my opponents' dials.

I'm not great at building ISD's, so feedback on that is welcome. I'm looking to try out the Vader/IO/Devastator cheese here, just to see how it works. I think that between my strong bid for first and the Devastator dice, I should be able to set up shots well enough to make GT worth it on an ISD1.

Drop SW7s as you can just reroll unwanted accuracies using Vader. They are better on ISD-IIs anyway.

Have a look at what Avenger can do to an MC80assault when combined with your Supressor. Who cares about his ECM?

Your squadron build is sort of minimal for today's climate so vector will only be used once in the game before you get locked in a dogfight. I would swap out boomers for fighters or interceptors if you can afford them.

Normally,I would agree with you about SW-7 on an ISD1, but I think it's worth trying on Devastator. It's there for the Devastator dice being added in after the Vader rerolls. In this case, the order would look something like roll->IO contain-> Vader with contain to reroll-> add Devastator dice (there are other decision points in there too, just an example).

Is it, though? Those bombers are there to fuel Ruthless Strategists with cheap squadron hit points; the advanced are there to stiff-arm shots on Instigator while it's setting up for its attack run. Instigator is tooled up for anti-squadron. Just because I don't have points in squadrons doesn't mean I'm not invested in squadron defense. ;) I've actually used this setup a few times and it's worked well enough for me to keep trying it.

As Supressor has to get right into the mix to be effective, I would put Isard on the non-Supressor Goz as it can be more careful and get more use from him.

***Side note, I've found his ability not worth the cost as I can generally already guess what they have (or SHOULD have and I'd assume you can too) and for the same cost you can have FC (not so important for your build, but I like big squadrons and the flexability is great) or something else altogether.

I like that you are trying all of the "we never see them" Imperial cards, but I'm not convinced Devastator will ever be worth the 10 points. By the time you actually get to use it you are so very "on your way to dying" that you get (in an average game) 2 extra dice on 1 shot, and maybe 1 on the previous turn... for a total of 3 blue dice in the whole game at a cost of 10? In a perfect game (where things set up great for you), you may get 5 extra dice in total. That's probably the reason we never see it... I've tried it a few times, that's my experience. All of that being said, I hope you CAN show it worth the cost and look forward to the AAR so such a cool name title can be seen more.

Yeah, I did that one the other day. It was fun, too: I did the Needa/TRC thing to burn off an evade on turn 2 and 4.
