I think you might be confusing this with a different system. Characteristics are bought with XP from a default determined by your species.

A note on my own character: everything but the backstory writeup is now done.

Took a look at your sheet, so as to see if I could help with the confusion.

Kel Dor don't start with a Willpower of 1, Shii-Cho Knight is not a Sentinel spec, and you've spent quite a bit more XP than you have. If you moved one of those 3s to Willpower where it belongs and the 1 to Brawn where it should be, you'd have used your XP allotment on stats. But you still have a lot more skills than you should, as well as two Force powers.

Yes, and Oggdudes software constrains you to the book required parameters. i.e. it will make this a lot easier for you. Like I mentioned in the first place, and you tried to refute.

No character generator is going to be a substitute for the core book, really. OggDude's comes closer, though. (I don't use it because it doesn't run on my machine, but from all evidence it's very good.)

What started as 6 players has become just 3 and we are looking for others to join in. We are in the middle of a second session and all 3 remaining players are force sensitives in what was designed as a force sensitives campaign.

I'm looking for any starting level characters who could get a boost to gear for coming in later.

You won't need to read all of session 1 but being familiar with the current situation is a must. Offering xp bonuses to players who are willing to play existing NPC characters (Jaxon, Tera, Dekkar).
