This card!
The death of PalpAce?
If Tractor Beams didn't do it, and Ketsu didn't do it, this won't either.
My prediction.
Well flown Palp/aces should be able to close to r1 of this thing before it can get R1 arc and an action on them, and murder it to death in a single round of firing.
ner
palp aces were technically dead when conners launched, but nobody ever uses them for some reason

This guy does, can confirm aces are not fans.
Edit: This card is on a ship that is going to get ANNIHILATED before it ever gets to range one, I doubt that it will be too much of a problem.
Edited by TimathiusA modification that only works in-arc at R1, and only fits on a 2AGI ship with 5H and no shields with a max speed of 3?
Yeah, totally the death of Palp Aces right there. Tooooootally.

Tractor Beam you had to hit them in first place, and for Ketsu you had to have them in your front arc at range 1 during combat phase. That's why it didn't work.
And I am not talking about a single one of them. I am talking about 3-5 of these thing.

Yea but that has a ton of counters already in the meta. Dengaroo munches these in short order, TLTs burn one down a turn, ghosts say "whats agility?" as they blow you away, its really only good against Interceptors, and even then they don't see the board as much anymore.
Edit: Definitely not saying its useless, its a good support ship. Its just not the palp ace killer you are looking for.
Edited by TimathiusPalp will just attack you, make one hit a crit, and literally 1 shot this thing.
T-beam token actually ruins dengar's **** as his defenses are vastly inferior on 1 less agility. Literally anything that isn't a VCX or VT-49 will care about this card. It's useful against everyone and everything, even your own ships
this isn't a ship you will spam, though. the stats are wretched

This together with ketsu. Keep them down at zero agi without rolling dice.

If he doesn't have countermeasures and glitterstim, and depending on the rest of your list. but being in R1 of Dengar with a two agi no shield ship.... sounds like a bad time. Dengaroo Specifically I was saying hurts that swarm bad, not that one or two wouldn't be a good counter to him.

Unkar with this and Ketsu crew and possibly Pattern Analyser. Block. Reverse, throw tractor token, block again. -3 agility. for at least another round.
This thing is a MASSIVE troll that is going to struggle to stay alive beyond the first round of firing.
No way..
Upsilon is coming.
Striker is coming.
Edited by Rinzler in a TieI am kind of happy that I switched to scum aces with the announcement of Fenn Rau. ^-^
Scum is looking so fun.

Which is why you run Palob. Give them something even more annoying and that they have to kill.
oh no, my precious inquisitor!
Yeah these little space tractors are gonna get nuked on there way into range one. As usual, aces aren't dead, they will just adapt.
to writ, I Still hate that this card has a random failure chance when it's fair at it's cost with no drawback
BUT
it is the only way to deal with the QD's lack of speed while leaving your options open to array

the PS 1 would come up to 19 points of extreme utility or, at the very least, cheap Biggs-itude
101 cuts to kill Soontir Fel! I love it. Conner Nets, Black Market Slicer Tool, Spacetug Tractor Array, and Long Range Sensors all add up to help get Soontir off the table so much. I'm a happy man.
I think it's going to be easier to get into range 1 than you think.... You are going to move first as you will be lower PS, and you will know where the Ace is. You are going to get to do an action before it gets to shoot.... If you then move it 1 forward it will probably overshoot you.
For the record for those saying if tractors didnt kill aces this wont: this is NOT an attack. Have PS1 idiot fly up to Soontir, Action -> Apply tractor token, toss him behind a rock which strips his actions at best or make him 2agi at worst. Even cutting 1 agi off him is huge.
Tractor beams didnt phase aces because it has to hit them first. As a result it ended up just punishing ships that didnt need punishing (1-2agi ships). THIS especially coupled with a lancer sporting Ketsu crew will really tick off a lot of ships, regardless of their evasive status.

This is the key here. Range 1 in arc is more limited than, say BMST, but the fact that you take your action before your target moves and takes any repositional actions makes this very good, added to the fact that it hits automatically and it's pretty mean.
