Missed opportunity to give it a reverse-sloop so it can peel out backwards, flip around, and drive off the other way lol.

Worth a shot. I'm liking the ideas this brings up.

The main issue is getting the TL on a PS 1 pilot. Really the Pirates can do it themselves. You need higher PS:

Zuvio is PS 9 and will have a much easier time grabbing a TL. Hopefully he can survive long enough to get an alpha off. Maybe Cloaking Device on the Jumper might be better than the crane. 1 point imitative bid to hopefully give it away if they have PS 9. Pretty sweet giving everyone Deadeye.

I thought that too (ps1 TLs.) I like to start the idea ball rolling.

This is my favorite ship in this wave. The only ship you can point backwards at the start. :D

These things are sexy and make me want to play X-Wing again after a couple of months out.

I like the idea of this ship, but its implementation is stupid.

- Tractor Beaming your own ships to outfly opponents?

- No guns but 2 Attack value? As good as an actual starfighter like the TIE or Y-wing?

- Barrel rolling?

- Sengor Loops?

- More greens than a Y-wing and at Speed 2-3?

- Reverse but no Dead Stop?

- Elite pilot Talents?

- All for less than 20 points?

So this acts more like the first space-helo in a star-fighter game.

That is a WEIRD frigging dial. That's the first ship to have a turn and straight of a given speed but no banks. And max speed of 3. Really not sounding like it's wowing me.

But

3 reverse manoeuvres.

But.

No stop manoeuvre.

And.

No BoShek reveal.

Zuvio is going to be hilarious.

Mostly this feels like it's going to be an annoying troll, but not actually much of a fighter.

Not sure I'll get more than one.

Pretty sure it said in the original article that it's been militarized and modified for combat. Explains some of those things. It's irresponsible to assume that any of the Scum ships represent mass produced production models.

So, I know that "stationary" (move zero) has its on bearing but what about these new moves? Are they just straight ahead and bank move - albeit in reverse? I've just been thinking about one of my favourite crew upgrades, Navigator. Thoughts?

I am terrible at this game. Intelligence Agent is better for me when I am likely to be the lower PS and need to guarantee that bump. :)

The dial has it as 1. Not -1. The reverse comes from the bearing.

This has to be the biggest WTF design to come out. Now I like the reverse maneuvers. But this is looking to be almost as useful a ship as a HWK-290, and I say almost because at least the hawk has pilots with some abilities that useful support tools. I'm just not sure if this thing is going to be able to get into any role beside support and the pilot abilities really don't lend themselves to that, maybe Sarco Plank will have a surprise or two for us. The single bomb (even with the crane) pretty much turns this ship into another Lieutenant Blount but without the guaranteed payoff.

I am reserving judgement till I get to fly it, but it as of right now, it looks like it will be too much work to get to little pay-off and may end up being one of those in the fleet for completeness sake (points better spent elsewhere).

And for FS, why doesn't it have a 0 (Stop) maneuver..... *sigh*

Good thing the HWK is a useful ship...

I think we really need to test the reverse maneuvers. Pattern Analyzer and the tractor array is something that is going to be quite annoying. I mean, forget the -1 Agility, the affects this can have on some one with a higher PS's maneuver is going to be rough.

Assigning a tractor token to every ship that bumps isn't useful? A tractor beam that just requires getting your target in arc at range one when you take your action is kind of nice. While it's never going to be a big hitter, a two attack primary isn't useless if everything you shoot has reduced agility.
