Instigator "spectral" squadrons and SWARM

By CaribbeanNinja, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Swarm: (While attacking a squadron engaged with another squadron, you may reroll 1 die.)

Instigator: "Enemy squadrons at distance 1 are treated as if they are engaged by 2 additional squadrons, even if they are not currently engaged."

So the question is:

If I have Instigator, and he's doing his Instigator thing to a bunch of enemy squadrons, would my little lone TIE fighter get SWARM when attacking the enemy squadrons? I think so based on that wording.

Yes. They are engaged. Thats the only requirement

I would agree with the air pirate.

Indeed. There is no objection to this from me.

Apart from the fact that my "Spectral" Squadron explanation was used by someone else. That feels weird...

Well I'll be.... I never thought of that one... I've been using instigator with 4 ties since the start of wave 3 and never thought about it that way. Well called CN.
