Are Spawn Monsters (Servants of Glaaki and Childs of Abhoth) affected by vortices? Do they return to the Ancient One's sheet or stay on the Village Commons until defeated? (I say Village Commons because that's how far they can go).

I'd say that they are returned to the sheet, and the terror level increases and a token is added to the relevant track as normal. In the particular case of the Dunwich Horror (however this occurs), I'd say that after the vortex eats it, it returns to Sentinel Hill.
How would one get the Dunwich Horror to go into a vortex?

A couple encounters allow you to move monsters regardless of movement type. The Dark Druid monster's special ability moves monsters along the arrows regardless of movement type.
I would interpret that (at least the dark druids text) differently. I would call that as he would move as if his symbol came up black triggering a second roll to add a doom token, similar with Color Out of Space and Cthonian. This would only make sense if you were moving a shogoth twice on black when the
Dark Druid moved since the shogoth is fast usung his own movement as if it came up black. I could be wrong of course which begs the question do yellow monsters move when the dark druid moves black?
Did the Dark Druid finally get an official clarification at some point?

I interpreted it that way as well. But the updated FAQ clarifies that the monsters move one space towards black regardless of movement type. I missed this clarification in the FAQ because of the way it was written, but yes: they move one space regardless of type. Also, flying monsters in the sky will move as normal if applicable (since there is no black arrow for them).
NEVERMIND.
First I found this answer:
Q: When the Dark Druid moves along black paths, all other
monsters move along black as well. Does this mean
they move as thier color indicates (Yellow do not
move, red move 2 spaces, etc.)? Or does it mean
they physically move one space regardless of color?
A: Regardless
But, elsewhere in the FAQ, it says this:
Q: What does the Dark Druid's movement ability
mean exactly? Does that mean they
move on space in the black direction or does that
mean they move as if their symbols were drawn in
black?
A: They move as if their symbols were drawn in black
So this has been answered both ways, resulting in a conflict. Since the "drawn in black" answer was spelled out more clearly (and will probably be more harmful, and is easier to apply), I'm going to assume that that was the intended one. I don't remember if I caught this, but if it slips through the revision I'll let them know.
