Help for a GM

By Matt Skywalker, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

It is just the normal Dual wielding rule!

it is the same weapon on both hands so he has to use his Lightsaber skill and his attribute.

He has to choose one Primary weapon - only attachments on this Lightsaber that influence the pool are counted to the dice pool (the other hand is totaly ignored!! No 4 Boost by using 2 shotos with personal grip!! )

The diference of the attack by using two equal weapons is increased by one.

Since he has to use Lightsabers in engaded he has a basis difficulty of 2 +1 = 3

If he hits, he hits with the primary weapon, he needs two advantages to trigger the second weapons hit. (own damage calculation)

after he triggers the second hit he also can trigger all the other abilities of the two weapons.

And yes you and your group should really share the bill to buy at least one of the core books (since it seems you like the Force characters go with Force and Destiny)

We really like to help you with questions regarding understanding problems, but we can't spell out every basic rule here in the boards.

Just trying to get help where I can.

Thanks for all the help so far guys

Ive heard that morality at the end of the session is , morality at the beginning - conflict + results from a d10 what do you do if you have a d100

If it's not in the beginner box rules, don't worry about it. You can't really expect the community to give you the core rules in dribs and drabs. At some point I would think this thread becomes a copyright violation, since your intent is not to clarify something confusing, but instead is just freeloading.

No i ,got the morality rule on accident and want to clarify because I use the star wars dice app

I empathize with your situation, it's just that everybody else here bought the rules. If you like the game enough and your friends pitch in, maybe you'll have them soon too. I'm not trying to be a ****, I just think we're crossing a line.

Maybe it'll help if I say Morality isn't that interesting. It's a tiresome bean-counting mechanic with minimal effects at the high and low ends. A lot of people don't use it at all, or make up their own.

Another thing that might help is that you pick up OggDude's character generator (thread here: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/89135-another-character-generator/). This will let you create characters according to the core rules and has a ton of resources you might be curious about.

Thanks might get out for Christmas then I won't have to ask you as much

Personally I feel that +150 xp is a padawan who is about ready to START the jedi knight trials and that when he/she COMPLETES the trials he/she will be +300 xp and be a newb jedi knight.

I feel that "knight level" play is about what's needed to build the equivalent of a 1st level d20 character

I think your a little late with that post

Yes we are. Please keep up

You seem to have unrealistic expectations of forum response times. But the best of luck to you.

Sorry if I seemed rude. I just would like people to keep up on my topics of course if you wanted to bring that back you should've quoted my question

There are times that I have disagreed with EliasWindrider, but this is a case where he is absolutely right — forum response times just aren’t that fast, and to expect people to keep up with a fast moving thread is not realistic — or reasonable.

So, yeah — your response was pretty rude. As was the one to which I am responding.

Sooner or later, you’re going to be in the reverse position, and you’re going to hope that the other party will be more understanding towards you than you have been towards EliasWindrider.

Matt Skywalker is new to the forums (at least I haven't seen him around for very long) and I'm guessing he's a young'in, I think he should gets a pass this time (as in nobody holds grudges about it, I won't), but I do think it's good that he's gotten a few pointers on forum etiquette, I expect he'll need a few more (I personally didn't "online forum mature" until after a year or two of online posting, and I'm guessing he's still pretty new to it)

I didn’t report him or anything, so unless he wants to take this matter further then I’ve said as much as I’m going to say on that issue.

I didn't mean to imply that anyone reported him, and I do think it was good for you to point a little bit of forum etiquette that he had missed. But I would also like Matt Skywalker to feel welcome on these boards and ENCOURAGED to be more polite in future posts as opposed to DISCOURAGED from future posting. I look back at my early posts on the wotc and swrpgnetwork boards and I wasn't always the most gracious of posters and I got into my share of flame wars. Not being completely polite etc. is the natural initial state of new Internet forum posters, especially young ones and I get the impression (from the I choose beige jedi thread, and his choice of screen names) that Matt is still pretty young (probably in high school or maybe working on an undergraduate degree)

I'll try to clean my posting act

Knight level play is a great tool for some games. Think of it as starting players in a fantasy rpg at level 5, especially if your blending books were you want some edge of empire careers with Jedi or Rebel skills.

The 9K credits or Saber is a good addition too!
