What is your favorite 21-27 point ship build?

Hey folks, here's an interesting range. These ships serve as utility, something to supplement your list, or to use as filler. My favorite fillers in this range is as follows:

Gamma Squadron Veteran: Deadeye, Homing Missiles, Guidance Chips- 25 points

Very unlikely to get less than 3 hits.

Zeta Leader: Wired, Comm Relay- 24 points

Nice, cheap dogfighter

N'Dru

VI

Glitterstim

Cluster missiles

Guidance chips

24 point assassin.

Can't go anywhere without mentioning Omega Leader Juke/Comm

Syndicate Thug/TLT/Unhinged

Stresshog

Biggs/R4-D6/IA

Then you get into interesting stuff...

Bomber Buddy (Scimitar Sqaddie/TIE Shuttle/Fleet Officer/Systems Officer/TIE Mks. Optionally upgrade to GSV+Wingman if you have the points)

TPV/Ion Cannon/Heavy Scyk/Mindlink. Nice little sniper/focus monkey for a Mindlink list.

N'Dru Suhlak/VI or Lone Wolf/A Missile (Cluster or Homing usually/Glitterstim/Guidance Chips. Fear the 24 to 25 point alpha. Fear it.

Doomshuttle

Concord Dawn Ace/Mindlink/Title/Autothrusters

A lot of these are Scum for a reason - Rebels tend to be pricier than this, and Imps tend to be cheaper.

This is mine, but you still have 25 pts to play with. I think Extra Munitions is a must have in this build. Why put all the points into something that is only 1 shot when you can spend 2 pts to make it at least a 2 shot pony.

EDIT: I do prefer Crackshot over Deadeye. My mistake!

I like that build a lot with EM, I usually pair one of those with another one with Crackshot, Homing Missiles, LRS, EM. Then one Crackshot TIE-Fighter and 31 points to taste.

GSP with AT, Crack Shot and Juke. Really nice token stripper.

Scimitar Squadron Pilot (25)

Cluster Bombs

Plasma Torpedos

Extra Munitions

Long Range Scanners

Spam 4 of them for glorious cluster mine shenanigans, plus decent damage potential.

I think to be entirely honest it's got to be

Tansarii Point Veteran (24)

  • Attanni Mindlink
  • "Heavy Scyk"
  • "Mangler" Cannon

Are there three points leftover for a Hull Upgrade or Stealth Device? Yes. Would they spoil the efficiency of the build? Yes.

These little guys are the backbone of a list that I am so far undefeated with.

I prefer LRS and Crackshot.

27 Deathfire (17) Concussion Missiles (4), Conner Nets (4), EMs (2), LRS (0)

A fully modded 4 dice shot on the opening joust will normally put a decent dent in something. After that Deathfire can drop Conner Nets either before or after he moves which really adds to their flexibility while also taking long ranged TLs for later use. If you are allowing 1 more point then Homing Missiles are even better than concussions.

26 Jess Parva (25), R2 (1), IA (0)

Works great in any 3+ ship builds. If you are allowed when more point then subbing in M9-G8 turns her into a great little support ship. She can provide a mini-predators to her wingmen whilst benefiting from rerolls herself.

1). Tarn Mison w/R7 and IA (25). The cockroach of X-wings

2). N'Dru w/LW, Glitterstem, Clusters, and VT or GC. (25-27)

3). Omega Leader w/Juke and Comm. Relay.

Definitely Zeta Leader and N'Dru Sulhak. For their cost they deliverer a very impressive punch.

A well flown VI N'Dru will murder him to death for 24 or 25 points so...

Very unlikely, with no modification at all on his side, all depends on him getting that TL and the missile off and just score all natural hits.

Getting the TL is one thing, then getting a shot is the other. OL has more pilot skill and is more mobile. And with permanent juke, he will also hardly need more than 2 turns to get through a Z-95.

Probably the best 25 points you could spend - long lasting & hard punching with more room for upgrades.

Tarn is even better with M9-G8.

I quite like Sabine with her built in "Advanced Sensors"+++ ability. I've done the same but with Engine Upgrade as well, that way I can change which way I activate it (boost-barrel roll-move, barrel roll-boost-move, boost-move-barrel roll, etc, etc, etc...)
