When is it too much stress?
Mara is almost never worth it; only range 1 and only unstressed ships makes her by and large ignorable for many if not most lists.
Put in Tactician in her place and you've got a decent stress controller, but it's probably too costly to get much else in at 40+ points.

The unstressed part of Mara is the big negative. Agreed. Didn't even think of Tactician. Thanks. Trying out a new stress controller for my Imperial lists.
