Remove a die to deal a character Damage equal to the value showing on that die.
In the article they said you can even use it on opponents dice, yet in one of the facebook groups I'm in some are saying because it doesn't say it can on the card you can't use it on opponents die.
Anyone from FFG or in the know could point me to a rules post or something for clarification.
Because it does not specify, it is any die in play. Either yours or your opponents. I have not come across anyone in person who thinks otherwise.
That was my understanding as well.. there is another card, isolation that says you spot a Blue to remove a character die. So since it doesn't just say an opponents or your it's all free.
At present there is no rules reason to dispute what the article says. Though it does make Force Throw one of the best defensive tools in the game, while also dealing damage.
For me that's clear:
step 1) remove a die.
step 2) deal a character damage equal to the value showing on that die.
The wording do not come with any limitation, so :
step 1 is any die.
step 2 is any character.
One thing I am curious with this is that when you remove that die using force throw if that die has a resource cost on it I assume its ignored because you removed it and not resolved it?

Some of the pure removal effects don't specify 'an opponent's die' either. Electroshock is one example: That card would be pretty bad value if you could only use it on your own.
Does "you" and "your" refer to ALL of your dice, or just the one(s) on the card or attachments that says you/your? Like X-Wing?
Palpatine, uses the term "this dice" to indicate that the dice in question has to be one of his Character dice. Which seems to be consistent with similar cards I looked at, Guavian Enforcer for example.
Your dice would refer to any of your dice that are in the dice pool, So Unkar Plutt can be used several times for as long as you have dice in your pool.
Anyone who has been around the game for any time knows this is a dice removal card. It's main purpose is to remove an opponents dice and deal damage to them. That is why it is arguably the best ability in the game.
