Ghost help needed

By Sonikgav, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I really wanna run a ghost, i really like the idea of a bump build, i also really like the idea of the Accuracy Corrector/Autoblaster (though i know some prefer FCS) and the fact that you can build it to ignore stress and not worry too much about its own actions.

My problem is working out something to fly with it so any opinions will be welcome.

Chopper - Acc Corrector, Autoblaster Turret, Hera Syndulla, Cassian Andor, Ion Projector, Ghost Title

Zeb - Phantom

Norra Wexley - BB8, PTL, Nien Nunb, Alliance Overhaul

- 100

Its a little '1st draft' atm so is gonna need some testing.

You have something of a conflict of interests here. Chopper and Ion Projector want you bump but then you cannot fire the ACC+ABT you have invested in for those undodgeable hits. If you want to go for this build then consider putting Zeb on there instead so you can still shoot them if you bump. Normally Zeb is a double-edged sword but if you can guarantee 2 hits that your opponent cannot dodge on top of stress and ion from Chopper and IP, then he may be worth it.

If you want to use the ABT in a more conventional manner than taking Hera as the pilot with Navigator and Cassian Andor crew (and possibly EU to fine-tune your position) will give you a better chance of landing your target inside your death-bubble.

The reason for the Bump stuff with the Autoblaster is to hopefully create some traffic jams. Not too common but the intent would be to block the guy at the front, then shoot the one stacked up behind though Zeb crew is an idea.

One thing, how does Cassian Andor work in relation to Intel Agent?

*edit* Nevermind i looked it up, theyre very specific that Andor is at the end of planning and intel is start of Activation. Still, Cassian as an Intel agent with a bonus isnt a bad idea with a Navigator on board too

That's an awful lot of points invested in a ship whose purpose is to bump. I've played the ghost a lot, and the only ways I've found it to work are the Kanan ghost the docked shuttle and Biggs or a 42 point or so Lothal Rebel. Even at 16 hit points, the ghost gets burned down really fast with no evade dice, especially if you are getting in close at range 1. The accuracy corrector + autoblaster combo seems nice in theory, but it doesn't do much for your primary weapon. I would recommend saving a point and using Fire-Control System instead. The problem with the autoblaster is that most of the ships you really want to hit with it can reposition away from it. To me, that's it's real power: control by making your opponent do something they don't want to.
