Condition cards from the Toolkit, how will people use them?

By pumpkin, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

It seems to me that the new condition cards are more general conditions that aren't referenced as a direct result of an action , unlike the ones in the core set, unless I have missed some of the actions that reference them?

Under what circumstances will people apply the new condition cards?

Intoxicated is obvious, and entangled is pretty easy to adjudicate, but when to apply shock or when to apply traumatised isn't so obvious.

Incidentally, I can't find anything that references the energised condition from the core set. I assume something does, but can anyone tell me what it is?

Cheers

I don't have my cards handy, but I think there's a Blessing of Sigmar that allows you to gain the Energised condition while it recharges if you roll very well, otherwise you gain the Invigorated condition.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is that these conditions exist on cards that got pulled late in the development cycle for space reasons, balance issues that required additional tweaking, or whatever. That doesn't explain why they released the condition cards now instead of with any new action cards (or monsters/NPCs) that make use of them, unless it is a backhanded way to get people to buy the AT, which seems a little too devious.

Yep, I can certainly see action cards referencing them in the future, and it's opened up the idea (to me at least) that you can apply the condition cards without neccessarily having them result from an action card; something I'd always known really, this has just made me think more strongly about that idea and make a mental note to self to make this happen.

Having poison cause the sluggish condition for example.
