X-Wing simulator on PC.

I know that there is X-Wing on Vassal, but to my understanding it takes some time to set-up and learn to use.

Does anyone know if there had been any consideration taken by FFG and a games design company to create an electronic version of the game where people can play an AI or play online against others like in Vassal.

It'd have to be made by EA so it'd be jam packed full of micro transactions.

Tabletop Simulator also exists and is a lot better than Vassal (IMHO)

Both of these options are great, BTW.

TTS has all the ships, cards, dice, templates... everything two people need to play remotely (just like VASSAL), but it has a more tactile feel. VASSAL is a game engine, TTS is a tabletop simulator, the difference between the two is vast. Once you get used to the keyboard shortcuts, a VASSAL game of X-Wing can be played very quickly. With TTS, you're actually moving the templates and ships around on a "table" just like you would in real life, the interface takes less to get used to, since you're just learning how to move objects and that applies to everything you do in TTS.

The XWSBench option feels similar to VASSAL, but I really like the movement interface. Also, it supports play against a (very) rudimentary AI so you can use it to teach people how to play, and give them practice.

Actually TTS has auto list spawner, auto movement, autobump.

Oooh, I haven't used TTS since they added scripting. I'll definitely have to check it out.

Try this ?

If EA made X-Wing Online it's be just like normal X-Wing... buy the $40 base game with an X-Wing and 2 TIE Fighters, and every expansion costs the same as it would in real life.

Dont forget the micro transactions. They will sell you digital templates, digital tokens, digital paint schemes, digital alt art pilot cards, then create Ultimate Squad X-Wing to buy booster packs.
