So, I entered a Regional tournament. After all, I thought, someone has to come last?
I was hoping for one win, but would have been happy as long as I did ok in most games and still found it fun by the 6th round.
I took FGD's ARC list: Norra (push, R2D2, tailgunner, vectored thrusters), Biggs (R4D6 & integrated astromech), and Braylen (R3A2, gunner, and Vectored Thrusters).
It's a very forgiving list to fly, does well against Imperial Aces and has a decent chance against most others.
The other guys were amazing - friendly, helpful, and very forgiving towards one another, not just because I was new - they treated everyone fairly. At the start, the whole place was very quiet and tense. By round 6 the chatter and bonhomie was enough to drown out the fug. It wasn't smelly, just somewhat warm and moist!
Now to book my ticket for the next one!
Oh, and I went 3-3.☺
