Defend a ship against enemy squadrons

Hi There

Got a simple question that need clarification.

I play last time against player who claim that this rules :

(Attacking Squadrons with a Ship

When a ship attacks a squadron, it can perform one attack against each squadron inside the ring arc and at attack range of the attacking hull zone. Each attack is resolved separately.)

​Don't mean only enemy Squadrons. Another words if in the same arc of fire there are Enemy Squadrons and friendly if i want to fire i fire on all of them.

Can somebody maybe from FF can explain me if he is right or wrong ?

You only fire on Enemy Squadrons.

You cannot attack Friendly things under any circumstance (at this point)

Indeed. It still doesn't allow you to attack your squadrons. Just do them harm for a benefit.
