Yeah, well after that fantastic scene in The Force Awakens where Kylo Ren pilots a fighter and takes down ace Resistance pilots... Oh. Wait.

I'm just glad we have him as a pilot at all. The crew card would probably have been sufficient to represent the events in the film.

A buddy of mine once saw Kylo Ren take off his shirt in the shower. He said that he had an eight-pack. The he was shredded.

All I want in life is for Leia to be a pilot card, and to have a PS higher than Kylo. Just to complete the effect of just how much of a disappointment he is.

I guess it doesn't really make sense since they could have just kept him as a crew if that was the case, but I just kinda assumed the Kylo pilot card was him "co-piloting" with someone else actually behind the wheels, because he really doesn't seem the type to pilot a shuttle. (Or anything, really)

My thought was that having a person who likes to play fruit ninja with your computer consoles would probably make you try to perform better as to not anger them

If you don't understand something, then at least try to understand it before you employ it. A Mary Sue character is a flawless projection of the creator's ideals. These characters are usually perfect to the point of being bland and successful to the point of boring.

So yes, I can see why a lot of Star Wars characters are perceived as Mary Sues, but many of the arguments propping up those perceptions lack depth.

Light or Dark Side, the operative principle of the the Force is belief. This idea is not new to Episode 7. Luke made an impossible shot because he believed, and failed to lift a ship out of the mud because he didn't believe. In Episode 7 Rey is increasingly powerful because she believes. Kylo Ren is full of doubts: doubts about his allegiances, his own potency, whether or not he can accomplish his goals. You might recall Rey was losing that lightsaber duel, and in danger of giving in to the Dark Side. She attacked Kylo out of anger, a desire to avenge Finn. Kylo started winning because in a clash between angry outbursts, Kylo "Tantrum" Ren excels. Rey begins to win after Kylo Ren inadvertantly reminds Rey of the thing she is supposed to believe in. At that very moment, Kylo Ren percieves her newfound focus and doubts his own.

I like this question. The answer is Kylo Ren can see through the painted veil with Veteran Instincts or as a crew member on a higher PS ship. In short, Kylo can do it, he just needs help (which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.)

Surely shuttle pilots will always have a lower PS than if they were in fighter. Even vader is a PS 7 when he takes over a shuttle!

Captain Kagi is really the galaxy's greatest pilot but fighter's are too easy for him. He likes a challenge!

Sigourney Weaver's Ripley in Aliens is the best action movie hero, man or woman, in cinematic history. Why? Because she wasn't a Mary Sue. Few action heroes can have this said about them. Aliens came out 30 years ago so the character of Rey is very disappointing.

Rey is clearly the chosen one and can do everything perfect. Kylo Ren is merely the son of a criminal and a rebel. It is shocking he is even capable of finding the on switch, no matter how much training he had receive from his father, one of the best pilots in the galaxy. That PS6 is very generous. The real question is, why isn't Rey a PS11?
