Dengar needs a better ride

Well it didn't take me long to get tired of looking at the rather underwhelming turret on the JM5K. After having a quick hunt through my bits box I found the perfect replacement, a twin 0.50 cal mount from one of Battlefront's 1:100 scale T15 AA half tracks. Sadly, after breaking off the weedy turret it has taken me almost 4 months to fit the replacement.

Today I changed that sad state of affairs and mounted the new turret.

Time now fro the new paint job :)

Agreed, it has got to be one of the worst turret designs so far! :( Nice find for a replacement - I've been hunting for 3d-printable ones, but the best looking seem to be warship turrets, then you have to try and make them look not like warship turrets! :D ;)

The title in this thread lead me to believe that you were going to propose that the man wrapped in toilet paper should fly anything else other than a toilet seat... ^_^

Have got a bit more done today,

Really good start. The new turret looks pretty B.A.

So here's the finished JM5K. Unfortunately the photos show more contrast between the coats highlight than there is in real life. I'm happy with it but I'll need to get a bit more practice in before I'm in the League of MacrossVF1 et al :-)

That engine glow is gorgeous. Great work.

Your ship looks great! Have you got any shots from slightly further out? With your steep colour gradients, I imagine it will look amazing at that distance.

repaints like this make me wish we had a "Love" option in addition to "Like"

Brilliant Repaint !

The yellow over the Grey really stands out.

My next Mod is the Jumpmaster.

All the best.
