[Player Content] New Scenario released Friday 1/8/2009 - The Black Tide of Tchar

By LordBael, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Available on my website for download for next Friday, my first Warhammer RPG 3 module, The Black Tide of Tchar.

This module is designed to use the basics from the box and combines combat elements with social encounters, mystery elements, and problem solving. This module will also include spell cards for the Amethyst College of Magic, also known as the Death Lore, as well as two fully mapped townships, Teardan and Mucktown, which sit in the Reikland close to Altdorf.

Players will be hired to perform a mundane escort, where they will find that their charge has more than meets the eye about him, earning the attention of the Benevolence of Tchar as well as a Witch Hunter. Who shall the players fall in with? What repercussions will their actions have? Find out!

sounds great!

But Friday is too long...how bout an excerpt to tease us :)

Errmmm... Sounds really cool but hopefully the link to the site is missing on purpose. :)

Yes the link is missing on purpose because my website is not yet complete. =) Right now it would link you to my old fantasy tabletop site.

HOwever to tease you with D&D ... lol.... dnd.chrisnye.net is my D&D website which has info and campaign info for THAT world =P

I will think about excerpting a piece.

Self-imposed deadline! Very brave. Good luck.

Let's see what there is...

MANOWAR ON FIRST PAGE! I'm sold! /,,/

Thanks in advance! I was just trying to decide what to do with my group next, and this sounds like it will fit in well with the campaign so far.

I'm all for fan created content. The best systems are the ones where we have a solid base of players and GMs supporting one another!

And yes Manowar on the front page for the win. You can bet that Manowar will grace the front page of the warhammer site as well.

Thanks. This is stuff that I thoroughly enjoy so I'm loving it. Tonight I'm finishing up the skeleton of the new magic lores though I plan on having actual cards for Amethyst lore in photoshop added so that you can cut them out and use them as actual cards. The other lores I have finished will be available to my players and will be posted on the site as well, but I doubt I'll have them in card format (yet).

I just realized this friday was 1/8. My bad =) I meant next Friday. 1/15 just caught that as I was talking to one of my playtesters and he let me know THIS friday was 1/8. Calendar is screwing with my head.

My apologies! I will be working hard on this but I don't know if I can get it done by this friday lol not with all the formatting that I have to do to it.

If I could edit the title I would. Again this is coming out next Friday (1/15/2010) not 1/8

LB: Make sure you put this on the Hammerzeit page.

jh

Linky please? Don't have any knowledge of that.

It is the best kept secret in gaming :)

It is still a work in progress, but here it is: Hammerzeit!

Thank you my friend I will be sure to put it there as well.

Adventure Background:

The player characters start the adventure at a coach inn called The Red Flagon where they meet a wizard of the Amethyst Order named Fulgrim van Tassel, who hires them to escort him to the nearby settlement of Mucktown, which sits on the Talabec River.

The character’s quickly find out that their charge has a bit more to him then he is willing to let on as they are hounded by chaos cultists and a menacing Witch-Hunter who wants to see the wizard burn at the stake for heresy.

Whilst in Mucktown, the character’s learn a little more about Fulgrim as well as investigating the town to discover the truth behind the amethyst wizard and the chaos cult that is so interested in him, or to be more specific, the item that he carries on his person.

The adventure culminates with an assault on Mucktown, and the players will be forced to decide which side they are on; a costly decision that could put them on the wrong side of Sigmar’s zealous witch hunters or on the wrong side of a dangerous cult of the ruinous powers…
