Leebo and other anti-Kylo builds

How about a discussion of pilots and upgrades that counter Kylo Ren's much feared ability?

A few of the obvious ones:

Leebo - 34 pt PS 5 YT-2400 - When you are dealt a face up damage card, draw 1 additional damage card, choose 1 to resolve and discard the other.

Determination - 1 pt EPT - When you are dealt a face up damage card with the Pilot trait, discard it immediately without resolving its effect.

Chewbacca - 42 pt PS 5 YT-1300 - When you are dealt a face up damage card, immediately flip it facedown (without resolving its ability).

Chewbacca (crew) - 4 pts- When you are dealt a damage card, you may immediately discard that card and recover one shield. Then, discard this upgrade card.

Boba Fett (crew) - 1 pt- out the airlock!

A few comments:

Hooray for PS 5 pilot abilities!

Hooray for Wave 1 EPT!

3 of the 5 most obvious counters are Rebels only.

I don't think the sky is falling. As a matter of fact, I bet FFG play tested Kylo. It's not like the builds the forum has come up with rely on a perfect storm combo like the Jumpy's.

What other cards come to mind as effective anti-Kylo cards?

How about Moff?
When you are dealt a faceup Damage card, you may discard this Upgrade card or another Crew Upgrade card to flip that Damage card facedown (without resolving its effect).

No Chewie-leebo builds were most definitely a thing back in the days of double pancakes - lots of synergy and surprisingly good fun for a defensive build.

Be nice to revisit the list.

Pilot Kylo isn't quite as scary as crew Kylo is though because pilot Kylo has to wait until you decide to let him use the condition. If you've got ships at the same PS you even get to decide which ship will get the condition.

Especially with some of the newer upgrade cards.... could maybe make some interesting combos.

All low PS high hull value ships. Generally, the more ships the better the handling with Kylo

I've been flying "Leebomination" since I picked up the Outrider. The combination there may not always come up, but when it does it's frickin' hilarious! "You deal me a crit, I draw an extra which happens to be a pilot crit. I discard it, and you go back to the drawing board!" Really takes the sting out of Mango cannons or Merc copilot. And that was WAY before Kylo "emo-crybaby" Ren.

Bumpmaster Leebo seems like fun.
