Regarding todays meta, what is best on Ryad?
Ryad: stealth device, hull upgrade (or ion engine)?
I have 3 points left, other ships are full so when I take ion engine I would have to points left on ini bid. Other ships are Carnor and a PS 2 bomber

Can you post the entire squad? I think this is a great grouping that might have some real flexibility against typical counters....well thought.

It is a typical Carnor with Hull or Stealth (I don't know here either hehe), PTL-Ryad and probably deathfire with cluster mines and homing

Definetively. He is very versatile. You can drop cluster mines to block k-turns and fire your missiles. The next turn you can make a bank or turn followed by a barrel roll, and THEN drop your mines and so on.
Tomax is very good too and hits harder, but he is more predictable. Nevertheless, I am still playtesting Deathfire

That is the point. For Juke I would rather switch to Vessery
If you're playing a TIE Bomber in your list, I would recommend to look at using Draw Their Fire on Ryad. It significantly improves bomber survivability, so you're much more likely to unload all ordnance.
I would probably lean towards Tie Mk2. Even with all her green K-turns, Ryad still benefits from shifting stress on the banks because it makes her unpredictable.
That leaves 2 points so you could get EMs for Deathfire (unless you have already bought them).
With PTL, Mk2 Engines are such a big deal. Extra points are money with a Bomber in the list, because there's always something useful you can spend them on.

Stealth device I would only use with lone wolf (but man lone wolf stealth countess is a hell of a closer).
Hull upgrade seems generally fine with no great awe inspiring effects but if you have nothing else to spend on and no need for initiative bidding then might as well.

Yes, if I take PTL then I have to take Mk2. Just in times of Slicer Tools, Latts Razzi and Asajj I have to really think about it using PTL or not. So if I would take Juke for example, then I don't know whether Stealth device or Hull Upgrade is better
Without question it's TIE MkII.
If you're talking about what you would take without PTL, then I would take PTL and TIE MkII or a different ship.
With Juke I would go SD over HU just because having that extra die is an additional possible evade result without using your evade token so it is still available for Juke when you fire.
Generally Mk2 is the best option no matter the build. Ryad doesnt suffer anywhere near as bad as other defenders in the stress department but she still has a lot of times where she really wants to bank while destressing.
Unless im purposely keeping her till last, which case she has LW on there for an ept, i never put SD on there
Mk2 opens her dial up so much when using PTL there's no real comparison.
