The Big Black Friday/Holiday Deals thread!

By Desslok, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Since we're just getting into the season where the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Festivus deals will start cropping up, I thought we could have a place to compile all super sweet deals.

FFG has their holiday sale up and running, but we'll probably get much better deals from the other online stores. (Also, would it kill them to be able to filter by product lines so one doesn't have to slog through a dozen pages of Games of Thrones stuff?)

No sign of sales on CSI or MM yet - we'll probably see something next week.

I approve of this thread. Please continue.

Yeah, I rolled through all 28 pages (at least of the ones that were loading - I had a bunch of 'em 404 out on me) and didn't see anything. No X-Wing, no Edge, no Armada, no card game - nothing. Hopefully they'll add some Wars stuff later.

Not much of a sale without Star Wars involved. If they put any dice or PC talent card decks on sale though, I'd grab some.

My experience with the holiday sale in the past has been that it's primarily a clearance sale: they have a lot of old stuff sitting in the warehouse and need to clean out that space. I would not expect too much regarding Star Wars. They've knocked the property out of the park. No need to run any special sales on that from their perspective, especially when they have all of this Games Workshop product they need to unload.

Cool Stuff INC 's Holiday Sale has gone live

* Star Wars: Age of Rebellion: Beginner Game - $22.49
* Star Wars: Force and Destiny: Beginner Game - $22.49
* Star Wars: Force and Destiny: Core Rulebook - $44.99
They also have some Armada and X-Wing on sale, too. But overall, the results look pretty "Meh".

Mini Market has their sale up now too:

F&D GM Kit for 12

SoF for 24

Lead by Example for 19

A bunch of Career Decks for 4 bucks

They also have the Force Unleashed Campaign Guide from WotC for 3 bucks. You'll need to do some work building stats and the first quarter of the book is full of worthless character classes, but the rest of it isn't so bad if you're looking to do a Dark Era game.

I'll be selling one of my kidneys for £2k instead of £4k... that's for Black(market) Friday,,,, Mmmmm £2k.. I'll put it aside for all things SWRPG and Xwing

Force and Destiny - Core Rulebook is on Amazon for $35 bucks.

For clarification, I believe Desslok means Force Unleashed campaign guide. ;)

That's what I said: The Force Unleashed.

No crazy sales, huh?

Amazon has had a few X-Wing & Armada ships as lightning deals yesterday and today. There's another coming up in a couple of hours - TIE Defender, IIRC.

Today I went to office depot and bought a logitech C920 web cam for $50. (I run an in person game with miniatures and maps but one of my players who moved a way teleconferences in via google hangouts). this is a top of the line web cam that debut at $170 and you can regularly get it for $70 but today was $50. it's good enough that individual wotc minis can be distinguished (as in you can tell which one is which) by color and blurry shapes (the camera is about 3 feet above one end of the coffee table, the "that's not a coffee table it's a dinner table for hobbits" coffee table is 56 by 34 inches). This is a huge improvement over the image quality provided by a logitech c320 web cam (borrowed from a still local player) which int turn was a huge improvement over the web cam built into a hp pavillion x360 laptop

For those in the Dallas area, Madness Comics & Games in Plano has begun their annual "buy 2, get 1 free" sale in the entire store. Sale is good until 12/31. Stopped in today and picked up Onslaught at Arda I, the AoR GM Kit (the last two of the currently available resources that I need) and a new Halo wallet for the kiddo. I'll be stopping back by a time or two between now and the end of the year to pick up some Magic: The Gathering and possibly some Firefly RPG books.

I got a rock.

(Wrong holiday?)
