I SWEAR TO GOD I didn't post this because I think I'm "higher" or better than anyone else here. (That's totally besides the point.)
JUST KIDDING, once again, just trying to have fun.

I can almost guarantee that I am "higher" than you, man. That might not be that great though as I just knocked over the gaming table chasing a cat...I think it was a cat...pretty sure. Good excuse, that cat.
Hehehehehehehehehehehhehehehehehe ![]()
Paul Heaver is looking at this thread.
PAUL - you have spoken of this on podcasts recently. You know this is a real issue! What do you have to say about it?
Yes, but it is December, you may want to wear pasties to prevent frostbite. And post pics.Hmmm. Are you suggesting I wear no shirt to the event?
Please don't....
It won't. I'm guessing nobody here has a thing for middle-aged balding chubby dads dot com.
I don't know, my old housemate would frame a pic like that a put it in our front room so every one could enjoy it as soon as they walked in the house.
She has an odd sense of humor.
Gamer funk is nothing, try an all-day, all ages punk rock show at CBGBs (R.I.P.). The mixed aroma of sweaty, unwashed kids, dresses in unwashed clothes, stinking drunk, in a tiny bar that smelled horrible even before the doors open, and to cool off the crowded pit in front of the stage the singer pours out his beer & backwash all over everyone.
I miss those days, lol.

It's all part of the strategy, don't clean yourself for a week before the tourney, your opponents will be so distracted they will be flying themselves off the board just to get away from it!
YES.
YES.
Just like the smelly guy who plays post at the gym!
The evidence provided above, confirms this is Boba Rick:

I have been there before..... eeeeeshhhh.
So I've abandoned my idea of blatant straight-forward approach to smelliness at the regional I'll be attending. I can understand how repeatedly spraying aerosol cans in the air might offend some people.
Instead I'm going to be stealthy, or cloaked, in my attempt to combat funk. I am going to be taking a set of these with me and just keeping it near my X-Wing stuff. I don't think anyone will notice or care, and I'll be doing my part to brighten the corner where I play. If everyone did this, then X-Wing gamer funky would never be a problem again.
I'm also considering using dual-sided tape and sneakily attaching one of these to every table. Is that too much?

I just wanted to take a moment and thank the crew of the Shuttle Tyderium podcast (specifically J-Bot) for bringing up this important issue. I know many of us would like to pretend there isn't an olfactory offense or nasal nuisance to be had at these events, but thankfully the members of the Shuttle Tyderium are brave enough to speak the truth!
Also, long shirts.
Not sure about smelly, but game stores in my area all seem to get warm very quickly even if they aren't that full.
Your sig. You rank episode 1 above episode 5? That's a rare point of view!

"Not from a Jedi..."
His ranking looks like a scale of force use and the Jedi/Sith conflict from high to low within the movies.

Loop one over each ear like the best pair of earrings known to mankind.
Just give every funky player -25 to MOV at competitive and premier events. Those that go want to win.
Also, I have no problem blinding my opponent with air freshener if they's blinding me with stink.
Just a heads up, high fragrance sprays and the like can be damaging to a few. Many people are highly allergic to the stuff in many perfumes, so while the dank smell of gaming greatness is not preferred, before you start spraying stuff or using air fresheners, know you can actually be harming people that might not even be the offender due to close proximity. One of the reasons lots of game stores DONT spray things in their gaming areas.
Just wanted to say the regional I went to was AMAZING. The people were awesome.
I was honestly afraid of stench and rude people, or maybe clickishness, but far from it. Everyone was very nice, helpful, and fun to be around.
I went 2 and 3 and was pretty happy with how I played. Ghosts everywhere, only one list had Defenders.

Don't encourage him even more ![]()
I know it's a joke thread, but a scented dryer sheet in your front shirt pocket works without having to spray things in the air. (In case odours really are an issue for any of you.)
