I would say yes, because playing the asset isn't one of the actions that doesn't trigger it, but what lorewise it stands against the switchblade ... hm. Did I overlook something?
Do fast actions trigger attacks of opportunity?
Page 12 of the Rules Reference: Because fast cards do not cost actions to play, they do not provoke attacks of opportunity (see “Attack of Opportunity” on page 5).
lorewise it stands against the switchblade
I'm not sure what you mean here. A switchblade is designed to open quickly; it usually has a spring-loaded blade operated with a button or lever. The card is Fast because the weapon itself doesn't take much effort to ready. Plus, since it's a Rogue card, you can assume it's the sort of switchblade that's designed to be inconspicuous before the the blade is deployed. It doesn't trigger attacks of opportunity because enemies don't register the threat until you're already prepared to start stabbing.
From a gameplay perspective, the card would be pretty lousy if it weren't Fast. Its entire point is that you can get it into play quickly if enemies catch you off-guard.
I meant that if it WOULD trigger attacks of oppurtunity it wouldn't be very realistic lorewise. Since malcogent corrected my view, I'm 100 % happy with how the rules work now
Thnx.
