So I've been flying a modified version of FGD's nora braylen biggs build (only modified cuz I'm missing the cards for biggs) and it's awesome. I love the arcs so much and I have a ton of lists created but can't decide what to try next. These are my options. Thoughts?

My modified FGD list been winning with it just looking for something else to do with them

To be fair, R4-D6 isn't actually that important to Biggs, all you want is a 1 point astromech that you can eject via integrated Astro to generate an extra hitpoint.

R4-D6 just gets used all the time because it's ever so slightly better on biggs than the other 1 point astromechs. Integrated astromech is the important part, the droid itself is just something you need for it to work. Biggs would be almost as happy with the regular R2 astromech, or with the astromech that gives you an ept slot & adaptability.

In fact now that u-boats aren't ordinance platforms anymore, r4d6 might not even be worthwhile. There's a far smaller pool of 4 die attacks coming out to make r4 really worth it.

Get the M9G8 droid on Shara with Weapons Engineer. She can target lock Norra and an enemy ship. This gives Norra a reroll to make her hit REALLY hard. Plus, if she rolls really bad, like 3 blanks, she can use Shara's TL to reroll them all and still have her TL for the ability.

M9G8 also makes an enemy reroll one die. If they are shooting at Biggs with R4D6, you make them reroll a crit so that droid does it's job. Versus something like RAC, you can make him reroll an eyeball, so it doesnt turn to a crit. Going up against a ship with Gunner/FCS or Gunner/Bossk and they roll blank blank eye? Make em reroll that eye into a hit for a chance at Biggs just taking a single point of damage instead of a full modded shot coming back this round.

For EPT, Wingman is a good choice to take stress off Norra. I also use Draw Their Fire for Shara, so she can take a crit for Biggs with her three shields. The longer Biggs stays alive, the longer Norra stays alive!

Sorry Fickle, I forgot that I can't base my conclusions of my decent-fair green dice performance.

Plus, anything with 3 dice is capable of 4 dice at range 1 - you'd be surprised how often you get 3-4 hits coming in, and - as noted - M9-G8 works incredibly well at dealing with this problem by pretty much eliminating the annoying "two hits and a critical" that makes R4-D6 a bit unreliable against anything other than a heavy laser cannon.

I'd say Draw Their Fire. Wingman is nice in theory but by having Shara on the board, you're already giving Norra a 'free' source of target locks, meaning she should need to push the limit a lot less anyway, so stress is less of an issue.

Alternatively, give her something free - adaptability means both ARCs are the same pilot skill, which is nice, and leaves 2 points free for Vectored Thrusters for Norra (which, again, you should be more able to use if you don't have to Target Lock and Focus yourself every turn).

Alternatively, you can save 2 points by dropping Shara to Thane. Norra can't use his target locks, making him worse offensively, but he can potentially 'rotate' locks between attackers mid-combat phase, making him better defensively; you pays your points and takes your choice.

Back on topic, M9-G8 working in tandem with Biggs is something I should have thought of immediately upon the card being spoiled. The squad would probably look like this:

Of course using Fickle's (patented?) Arc-Angel Norra because (having played against the build) she really works. I would be a little bit concerned for Shara however, the added defense will have to really be worthwhile, otherwise thats a literal third of your list not contributing (especially not to damage, after the first pass). Biggs as cheap and (un)happy as always. I suppose in the end it boils down to: is Shara's squad buff as good as or better than having an excellent stress control piece in the squad? I'm certain there's a Rebel player who can answer that.
