All those MC30's at the top...Crx80g8VUAADZ5y.jpg

We have one in Sweden on Dec 3rd.

I can report from that one, if you're interested.

Absolutely!

Melbourne, Fl added.

Another Rebel win, by a different Rebel admiral.

I also have the new Objectives added in for when they finally get released.

The Liberty is so far the only ship to not make the Top 4.

Still no Ozzel or Madine sightings.

No Ozzel? He's my favorite Imp admiral, next after Vader. So sad :(

I tried to make Ozzel great again in AZ but a deviation from my original plan at the top table round three turned what would have been a narrow victory into a narrow defeat. Played a great game with Ben, it was a nail biter for sure

I won Gautier Ms with 23 tourney pts, just fyi....I'll add more to that thread when I fire up the lapy top later tonight....

I have the fleet lists for the Phoenix regional. Would I be able to scan them and send them to you Schmitty?

I have the fleet lists for the Phoenix regional. Would I be able to scan them and send them to you Schmitty?

Absolutely! Whatever is easiest for you. Thanks!

Gautier Regional added.

  • Garm finally made an appearance.
  • Dodonna is the first admiral to win 2x

Looks like we will get Phoenix in soon as well.

I know Toronto had a live stream going, but did anyone see results posted from that one? Or watch enough to know who won?

We are doing much better at getting full fleet lists this time around. 5 for 5 so far. Last season we were 8 for 27.

Only 2 weekends in and we already have data for 83 fleet lists!!

This will make for a much better dataset.

As someone who obsessively follows Armada I can give you the top 2 lists (sans objectives) from Toronto but for full fleet lists you'll have to hit up someone who was there and isn't on the other side of the world from them :P

Scmitty would it be possible to add a column for toryn?

Phoenix is now included. I only have the order of finish for the Top 4, so if you were there and can help fill that in, please do.

We have our first Imperial winner!

and our first Ozzel sighting too!

If you don't get the fleet lists from Toronto I can supply lists for myself and 3 guys I came with.

Please do. It doesn't look like anyone grabbed them all, so I will piece together as much as I can.

Scmitty would it be possible to add a column for toryn?

Yes, but it may take me a bit to add it in there. I've been thinking on that one too. I was also thinking about H9/Sensor Teams/Home one as a generic Accuracy generation upgrade.

I think that gets a bit more tricky unless you consider the ship it is on, so probably more of a headache than it is worth.

For instance, H9 on an MC30 is a very different animal than H9 on an ISD2 with Leading Shots (a greater than 95% chance to generate an accuracy for shooting at flotillas if you re-roll properly). So if an ISD2 declines to run them, but runs LS, it's still running an accuracy generation upgrade...

Well, the winner and Top 4 have been added for Toronto.

Anyone know the attendance for Toronto?

Cool, so the key part is I did at least have the list that came second, I just attributed it to the wrong player. My bad.

If you boys and girls that were actually there want to jump in with lists I dare say you have a better picture of it!

Sorry I didn't get the full standings for the tournament. I think the TO Howard who is on these forums would still have it.

I'll try to post an AAR later with some pictures. It my winning list was similar to my worlds list but with some changes to help against squads. I found that at worlds Mauler and 3 Ties were not enough to stop large bomber wings consistently. I dropped sliver tools at it usually meant spending 30 points and only using it once due to dieing at medium range. I wanted to try the Mauler double move combo using FCT and flight commander to get off the double AOE damage in 1 turn. It worked for 2 of the 3 matches and I think it really helped my clean up the bombers in a turn or 2. Overall it was a well run event, wish we could get more locals out but it was nice to have people drive in from CA and NV.

Some additional info from Toronto regionals. 3 rounds, 20 people in attendance. 26 points highest score.

Because the office is slow...

I crunched some numbers. I wanted to see what ships appear more or less often than they should.

Premise: ships should appear in inverse proportion of cost. So if a ship costs 2x as much, it should appear half as often.

Results: Transports match prediction almost exactly. ISD and GSD more prevalent, other imps less common.

Gr75, Cr90, libs match. Neb's and home ones less frequent, mc30 and AFM more frequent.

Now to see how this changes at top tables...

Edited by Baltanok

Clarification: I'm talking number of models on table, not number of lists containing one of that model.

Top 8: no significant change.

Winners: neb's & vsds more common. Low sample size means lots of noise.

More number crunching. I wanted to see how anti-ship damage varied across activations and scoring. Will need to repeat on the main data-set when I'm at home.

Most fleets average about 23 damage per turn, independent of activations. (23.2 at both 3 and 6 activations). Top 4 scorers tended to have less damage. (22.6 at 4 activations, 19.2 at 6). Top 4 Sample size is small, so this may disappear when I do the full data set.

Squads count for 20-25% of total anti-ship damage, decreasing somewhat on the high activation fleets.

Assumptions: did not compensate for crits. Ships were assigned a damage value based on black range, double-arcing 50% of the time. (For ships likely to take gunnery teams, I counted them as using gunnery teams 50% of the time instead)
