Hello!

Question 1.

In the FAQ there is a question about abilities affected “figures treated as hero figures” (page 2).

Answer is:

Hero abilities, monster abilities, monster attacks, and Overlord cards that can target a hero can also target a figure that is treated as a hero figure. Figures treated as hero figures may be given conditions and are affected by terrain. Nothing else affect figures treated as hero figures unless specifically stated (for example, quest rules and Plot cards).

But I don't clearly understand this.

Heroes has class card with some text. Is text from the class card treated as "hero ability"?

Or "hero ability" means only upper rectangle on the hero sheet?

Question 2

Second question connected with the first one.

Can familiars (treated as figures) get valor tokens, elixir tokens, etc?

1. All text on cards and hero sheets is referred to as abilities. Abilities of heroes include text on class cards, items and hero sheet. The term "hero ability" specifically refers to the text in the upper rectangle on the hero sheet.

Figures treated as hero figures can be targeted or affected by attacks, monster actions, hero abilities (including skills, heroic feats, etc.), abilities of items and relics, and Overlord cards. Plot cards may not target figures treated as hero figures.

2. The terms "Familiars treated as figures" and "Familiars treated as heroes" mean the same thing. In the core rule book the former is used, in current rule texts often the latter is used.Familiars treated as heroes (currently Brightblaze, Reanimate, and Wolf) may receive insight, elixir, and valor tokens and may trade elixir tokens with heroes. Familiars treated as obstacles (currently Summoned Stone) may not receive insight, elixir, and valor tokens. Familiars not treated as heroes (currently Skype, Pico, and Shadow Soul) cannot receive insight, elixir, and valor tokens.

I don't get it. The rules for valor token say you have to place valor token on Hero Sheet. Since a familiar does not have a hero sheet, it can not receive valor tokens. Where am I wrong?
