I just recently moved to Austin and I was wondering if there are any players around? i can GM or be a character. Thanks to anyone that replies!

I’m also here in Austin, and I’m also looking for another local group.

We used to game on Thursday nights down at “Whose Turn Is It Games?”, but that game broke up after the primary GM got a real job and could no longer spend the amount of time necessary for the game.

I’d definitely prefer Thursday nights, if possible.

I have recently found out about a non-profit comic shop in Austin called “Hops and Heroes”, and they apparently make their money by selling beer (and presumably food). But I haven’t been there, so I don’t know anything more about it.

This is great! the bigger the group the better. My only problem is i have a full time job and a girlfriend so my time is very constrained. My availability starts Friday and ends on Sunday, how do you guys feel about that? That comic place sounds perfect! Thank you for the suggestion.

I’m married, so Friday nights and the weekends are out for me. My wife has other plans for those times.

I'm yet another one hanging out in the Austin area here. I used to play multiple times a week before I made a couple of cross country moves, I've kept up on the books and online games but been a couple of years since I did a proper in person game.

So definitely interested in seeing something pan out. During the week I usually can only get out of work at 1900 at the earliest, so weekends tend to work better in my day to day.

Depending on how the wind blows and/or the timing, I could probably convince my wife to come to the game as well.

Hey everybody, I apologize for not responding, I was busy with work. This is great to see there are so many players in Austin. Do any of you guys know of the Outlaw Moon Games store? That's the closest game place to me. If we so choose to go through with anything would an area like that work out for you guys? If not I don't mind driving a bit.

I’ve never heard of that store, but Austin is a big place and I’m sure there are plenty of stores in town that I’ve never heard of.

If timing works out, I don’t mind driving. I did that for the game down at “Whose Turn Is It? Games”, so I could presumably do it for another store.

Is that place right next to Austin Books & Comics, at 5002 N. Lamar Blvd? That’s about 8 miles from my house.

So, it looks like I might have one or possibly two spare tickets to see “Rogue One” on Thursday evening at the iPic Theater in the Domain. The first showing I have is at 7:45 PM, and has only the standard “Premium” seating which does not recline.

I don’t know if the other ticket will also become available, but if it does, that showing is at 1:05 AM on FRIDAY MORNING. However, for this showing, I have Premium Plus seating that does recline.

That goes for any of you. We play on Sunday night right now because we are trying to allow for an old friend of mine to join but we'll be playing on Sundays every week. The start time is subject to change. It can be between 4pm and 7pm.
