A call out for mission designers

Hi all I am looking for anyone interested in designing sets of missions for an imperial based coop campaign, any questions please ask :)

Defenders of the Empire is an imperial campaign based on HotAC. In this campaign players are assigned ships and sent on missions to complete.

The 1st 4 Missions are a set gateway into the game and are in the Defenders of the Empire File

There will then be 4 sets of 3 missions before a final set of 4 missions to conclude the campaign.

These sets of missions are where help is needed and it is also a great opportunity to be a part of the community project – Defenders of the Empire.

If more mission arcs are created other than the 4 required then these will provide alternative arcs for players when they reach that point in the campaign.

Are you able to design a set of 3 missions that fit into one of these categories:

Select a mission set and 1 of the ship types shown, the players will all then fly that ship, the player PS level has also been indicated for each mission to help with play testing to get the correct level of difficulty.

Thanks greatly to the forum for the ideas I have used and to those who have already lent a great hand already in this project and to those who decide to help out further 

Depending on when in the timeline, I'd refrain from allowing certain ships purely based on acquisition and mission parameters. You also have to consider what kind of defense we're talking about, and what mission profile the players are assigned. Ask yourself if this is purely part of the Rebellion, an isolated system uprising, or the New Republic invading. Where in the galaxy are you, how high profile is the planet->system->sector?

Punishers were not a replacement for TIE Bombers, and TIE Advanced were never meant to be mass produced. Interceptors only proliferated to 20% of the Empire, excluding Elite Wings or high profile individuals.

A few scenario ideas

  • Recover the stolen shuttle (its rogue sqr. fluff)
  • Rescue the Rear Admiral from his stranded Desimator (can use a TIE Bobmer with title as a shuttle to get the Rear Admiral out)
  • Destroy the Training post
  • Arrest the smuggler in the Corellian freighter (just another YT doing the Kessel run)
  • Escort the Gozanti (well needed Imperial supplys must get through the rebel lines)
  • Disable the CR-90 that had the stolen plans (that is not a diplomatic ship)
  • Find Lord Varder and his ship in the ruins of the death star (lots and lots and lost of debris fields)
  • Bomb them into submission (bombing runs on civilian population before the rebels arrive to help)
  • Stop the HWK (an HWK is attempting to get stolen information to the rebels)
  • Stop the Transporter (destroy the rebel Transporter and avoid all the ION fire coming from ground artillary

Is this part of the other effort to get an Imperial HotAC campaign going? There is another thread about it with lots of input and some work already done. I think it is called Villains of the Aturi Cluster.

Thanks, some good ideas there, we are also using the pc tie fighter game missions and imperial versions of HotAC for inspiration. The problem is that it takes me about 3-4 weeks to test a mission. So I was hoping others would want to get involved with making missions to speed up the number of missions created and have variety from style of author. Treatrangeasrange2 is also involved in making missions as well.

Yea it is the same thing, I posted there too but thought maybe there would be others who may not read the thread that might be interested in making missions as I know mission making has its own popularity as well.

I would suggest getting Babaganoosh involved, but I know he's been play testing some other missions for our Shuttle Tydirium GenCon event. He will be too busy for a while.

My freetime isn't much these days. I'll apologize on that.

im not a designer and couldn't test them to be balanced but i still have a lot more ideas
