How are people handling assets earned through rewards? If I'm lead investigator and I get a reward, can I give it to someone else in the group who could use it more?

You cannot trade assets without a card effect that lets you do so.

I note there will be a Guardian card in the Dunwich set which will let you trade things with investigators in your location.

When you're instructed to add a card to a particular investigator's deck, you do just what it says. You can't add it to anyone else's deck, and if that investigator dies, the card is lost forever.
