Maybe ask your group to switch to backgammon

I was going to suggest draughts. Rolling doubles in backgammon is totally OP.

Whisper? Why ban Whisper of all things?

If you want to switch things around I have a ban list that drastically alters the game but this just looks like TIE defender and TIE phantom hate.

My playgroup decided to go and change some cards, aka "unoficcial faq" and i'm not really sold on it. What do you think about these changes?

1) Tie x7 now costs 2 points instead of -2

2) R2-D2 costs 6 points.

3) All E-wings costs 2 less.

4) "Whisper" is banned.

I'm recently a defender player and it hurts me a lot. How would you build in this enviroment? Probably tie/d are now better?

What do they fly? aside from E Wings

Two guys are playing rebel regen all the time (Poe, Corran, Ethan, Norra - they switch between those), one guy is mostly playing decimator with some tie fighters and final one is scum player, using Dengar with Guri with midlink or some "scum aces", using Fenn Rau and Guri pretty often.

P.S: We play a lot of team epic too.

Yeah these changes make rebel regeneration easier, and it sounds like like are targeting what you play

Ask them to lower the cost of AP TIE Fighters to 10. Use 'fly casual' to add Crack Shot to 10 of them. Let the teeth gnashing begin as you table them in two turns.

I´d find a nice way to say "Please go **** yourself" to my group if they wanted to play with these modifications to the rules.

Run a wave 1 TIE swarm.

See them try to 'balance' the fundamental fighter in the game.

Against that I would Ion lists a lot and just walk the regen guys off the board or fly a lot of Munitions and hurt the

the Scum player would be the hardest to build against as Guri is OP and I fly her a lot and don't want to give advice on how to beat her

Why change play tested rules at all???

If things must be changed either have it everyone picks one thing to do, then let the cries begin. Or have a unanimous vote on changes. If /x7's were OP they would have won worlds. People would rather cry OP than change their tactics for the list they are flying against.

I feel sorry for the OP being stuck in such a dumb group with no way out.

Why change anything. If you are having problem against certain lists, just ask your opponent nicely to play something different. It's casual, it's a social contract between you and your friend to have fun.

For example a mate of mine doesn't like playing again quad-TLT. Now it's not something I would run because it doesn't interest me. But when we arranged to meet for the first game he said he didn't like playing against it... That should be enough.

the only good idea here is the E-Wing cost decrease as they are overpriced, though i have been hearing about them again recently, anyone know why?

the X/7 deals with the defender's cost as it's overcosted, the Tie/D is playable, expensive but balanced

A) find other people to play because those are entirely based off what people like (why no Whisper,but Dengar, palp,etc are fine???)

I want to like this so many more times than once.

You don't need people in your life who think defenders should be MORE expensive.

I think /X7 at -2 may have been too much of a swing in the effectiveness of Defenders, but not 4 fricking points worth, and at least the are now part of the meta, Soontir, Inquisitor and a few other ships are still just as viable.

Same with the E-Wing, I think it may be in general a bit too expensive, but Corran just went all the way to the finals of Worlds. If anything maybe drop the cost of the X-Wing and E-Wing by a point and raise the price of R2-D2 raised by a point. As they seem fine with regen, but overcosted without, so the issue feels like it's on the split of cost between the two... A reallocation might increase list variety.

But again.. I don't think either are that broken enough to need a change.

i would just run r5-p9 poe and laugh all the way to the bank because these changes are so badly done
