just finished 4 hour BSG+Pegasus game, need some rules clarification please

By skullbox2, in Battlestar Galactica

This was our little gaming club's 5th game of BSG and 1st Pegasus. The humans have never won but this is the closest they ever came. Here is a summary of the issues we encountered. Any help would be appreciated:

1.) Do Cylon's draw new Caprica Crisis cards? (applies to cylon leaders and declared cylons).

2.) If so, do they continue to once they are back in space locations?

3.) Can cylon leaders infultrate on new caprica and therefore be sent to detention? This was very confusing because the manual says cylons can not be sent to detention but the victory the condition for our cylon leader read: Cylons win and spent time in brig/detention, the only way to satisfy that is if they were a sympathetic cylon who draws an agenda card midgame.

4.)What is the order of play of treachery effects in a reckless skill check. We had no cylon ships in orbit at the time and two treachery cards were in the skill check. One was to deploy a base star and raiders, and a second was to activate raiders. If the activate card was played first, it would have no effect.

5.) Can Helena Cain issue a blind jump from the brig? Can she as a declared cylon?

6.) Can the admiral signal galactica to depart from new caprica from detention? From sickbay? From the planet at all?

Thanks for your help.

1.) Do Cylon's draw new Caprica Crisis cards? (applies to cylon leaders and declared cylons).

It doesn't say that it changes the cylon's turns, so they still don't get crisis cards as part of their turn.

They cannot infiltrate while on New Caprica, as they don't have access to the Human Fleet location. What they can do is infiltrate before the New Caprica phase, and then when NC starts they'll be counted as humans and be viable targets for going to Detention.

4.)What is the order of play of treachery effects in a reckless skill check. We had no cylon ships in orbit at the time and two treachery cards were in the skill check. One was to deploy a base star and raiders, and a second was to activate raiders. If the activate card was played first, it would have no effect.

The standard for resolving simultaneous effects is to let the current player decide the order.

5.) Can Helena Cain issue a blind jump from the brig? Can she as a declared cylon?

She can do it from the brig. She can't do it as a revealed cylon, as revealed cylons lose their character abilities.

6.) Can the admiral signal galactica to depart from new caprica from detention? From sickbay? From the planet at all?

Yes, he can order it in both those cases.

An important thing to remember about the Brig and Detention is that they don't restrict your actions, only your movement and skill check contributions. So while you can't readily move to another location to do stuff there, you can continuing playing cards from your hand or using your character's abilities as normal.

Thank you so much for your response! One last question. A revealed cylon loses character abilities but does a Sympathetic Cylon? In the manual, it just says they lose their skill set. So can Cain blind jump as a sympathetic cylon?

I assuming no but would like someone to verify!

Thanks Again

no, because she is a revealed cylon and should turns her character sheet over
