It is not worthwhile to build around that because they will use all their tokens against the MC80 shot reducing its damage considerably.

MC80 Mon Karren Overload Pulse..... could be glorious for this.

Its true......there is a purpose for everything.....

Interesting thoughts! It made me think and there are cases where you are completely right. But for ships with duplicate defense tokens or contains this setup is still good. An ISD would spend only its brace and one redirect on the mc80 attack for example, and still have redirect and contain for the bombers. With the pulse it faces hard decisions.

Still not as elegant as a 90b triggering the pulse.
