Suggestions for T70 list?

By ebolazaire, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi all,

I mostly play Imperial so not to familiar with Rebel builds.

I'm looking for some suggestions for a list heavy on T70s for a friend.

She's flown some interceptors with good success and loves how they move, been asking if you can do similar with T70s?

Poe and Snap are your best options for a mobile T-70. I prefer Poe with PtL, BB-8, Pattern Analyzer and Autothrusters. Snap is okay with Primed Thrusters and Lone Wolf or PtL, but his pilot skill is a hindrance to arc dodging.

Edit: Snap Wexley

As far as movement, the A-wing is a better comparison to the interceptor. I personally don't run any lists with a Heavy t-70 presence due to most are a little too expensive for pilot skils and ship stats/dial. Ussually I run regen poe, with multiple options. This is my favorite featuring a T-70:

Regen Rebs (100)

Corran Horn (41) - E-Wing

Adaptability (0), R2-D2 (4), Fire Control System (2)

Poe Dameron (36) - T-70 X-Wing

Adaptability (0), R5-P9 (3), Autothrusters (2)

Green Squadron Pilot (23) - A-Wing

Push The Limit (3), Chardaan Refit (-2), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Autothrusters (2), Wired (1)

You can strip the a-wing down to PS1 and naked to really beef up Poe and Corran: VI on Poe with weapons guidance, and Corran with PTL and EU Make a stronger pair, but The A becomes a blocker/fodder only. Either way She will have 2 ships with similar dials and evasion to the interceptors. 2 ships with the ability to hit well and regen. and all of them have one movement action option. As far as T-70 only, I think it is hard to make a 3-4 ship build with them that is competative, but there are examples out there. For example I have seen a 3-4 Red Vet set-up that looked interesting.

I forgot Black One on Poe. Don't forget the title.

Can do something like this:

“Snap” Wexley (33)
T-70 X-Wing (28), Targeting Astromech (2), Pattern Analyzer (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Poe Dameron (PS9 Version) (44)
T-70 X-Wing (33), Black One (1), R5-P9 (3), Pattern Analyzer (2), Push the Limit (3), Vectored Thrusters (2)

Green Squadron Pilot (21)
A-Wing (19), A-Wing Test Pilot (0), Chardaan Refit (-2), Push the Limit (3), Crack Shot (1)

or something with three T-70's

Poe Dameron (PS8 Version) (39)
T-70 X-Wing (31), R5-P9 (3), Pattern Analyzer (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Autothrusters (2)

Jess Pava (27)
T-70 X-Wing (25), R3-A2 (2), Integrated Astromech (0)

“Snap” Wexley (34)
T-70 X-Wing (28), Black One (1), Targeting Astromech (2), Pattern Analyzer (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Awesome, didn't expect such a quick response.

I'll go through the list and test some.

I'm thinking that adding the Awing is a good option.

Will do some testing and let you *know how things go ;p

I posted this list last week.

If you know and understand BB-8 + Push the Limit shenanigans, then Snap Wexley + BB-8 + Push the Limit + Primed Thrusters + Integrated Astromech is my favorite T-70 right now.

He can barrel roll, focus, boost, and target lock all on the same turn:

Reveal a green maneuver (2- or 3-straight preferably).

Use BB-8 to barrel roll.

Push the limit to focus, receive stress.

Perform maneuver, remove stress.

Perform free boost action from Snap's pilot ability.

Target lock as your action.

Pattern Analyzer works pretty well with this build too. It is better at keeping you from getting stressed, but Primed Thrusters prevents a stress from shutting down your BB-8.

You can do that and better. If you want to move like interceptors, Stonestrokes is right.

Essentially, if you want T-70s to dance, build a squad using some combination of:

  • Pilots: Ello Asty, "Snap" Wexley, Blue Ace
  • Elite Pilot Talents: Push The Limit, Daredevil
  • Astromechs: R2 Astromech, BB-8, R5-X3
  • Tech: Primed Thrusters, Pattern Analyser
  • Modifications: Integrated Astromech, Vectored Thrusters
