Hey guys. I know the treasure hunter and thief are the go to for getting treasure and running objectives. Besides them, who's the next best? Is it the stalker with the free search for anyone within 3 spaces of your trap? The shadow walker with the search within 3 spaces of your shadow? Or is it the bounty hunter with a free search after you defeat a master monster?

It actually depends on what you're looking for for your party as a whole.

I actually do not choose the thief, if the shadow walker is available but that's usually because the shadow walker tends to add lots of buffing and our group likes to smash things

That's a good point. I guess I look at the team roles too clear cut. Like the scouts only job is to get treasure and run objectives. I could see the shadow walker helping the team kill monsters way more than the thief. I also think the stalker can do the same, while having a good amount of utility as well.

It's good for each team member to have something they're good at, but versatility can be a big advantage. If the heroes are too set in their roles, it opens them up to some pitfalls based on their weaknesses (the Basic II overlord deck is built around capitalizing on such weaknesses.)

I love the basic II cards. I love seeing how pissed off my brothers get when I drop down a mimic when they think they're getting loot.
