By LordEnforcer, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello all..

Ok i know unleash is force lightning at its best..

But can i ask what would force choke be?

Thanks

Bind. It's located in the FaD Core Rulebook and requires a minimum Force Rating of 2 to use.

Weedles and Fries is correct. The "Force Coke" is the result of using the Dark Side Point to activate the power instead of the Light Side point, which will only immobilize the target.

What about Force Pepsi?

Huh, I was gonna go with "Force Meth" on that one. I guess that says a lot about how the two of us think, doesn't it :P ?

Am I the only one who likes "Force RC"?

What if my Force uses are for medicinal purposes?

Is that still illegel in the Empire?

That would be a good question to ask the Inquisitorius when they show up on your doorstep.

Or maybe Darth Vader himself.

Better than Force Tab. ^_^

What about EOTE? what's lightning in it?

Technically there's no Force Lightning in EOTE... but it would be the same as FaD as the books go together (if the GM allows it).

In short, any open display of Force abilities is patently illegal in the Empire. Even being suspected of Force abilities is enough to get you arrested by the Empire.

The only "exceptions" are those individuals that report directly to the Imperial chain of command, such as Darth Vader (who reports to the Emperor) and the Inquisitors (who generally report to Vader), or those Force adepts in the Imperial Court (mostly dark siders) that have the Emperor's (fickle) favor, which can be revoked at a whim. No word on if the Emperor's Hands still exist after the canon reboot back in April 2014, but they'd be allowed since they report directly to the Emperor.

Anyone else that's a Force user had best keep their abilities a very tightly-held secret, or be ready to fend off the Empire's efforts to capture/kill them. And the bigger a pain in the hindquarters that a Force user makes themselves, the greater the resources the Empire will throw at the problem. If the Empire thinks your Force user PC is a Jedi, be prepared for Inquisitors to take an unhealthy interest in what you're up to.

And if your Force-sensitive PC is a Jedi that might have known one Anakin Skywalker, be prepared for a visit from the man in black (not Johnny Cash).

If you can find it (and you can, for fairly cheap), the Saga edition rulebook The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide has some excellent tips for setting games in the Dark Times, where they talk about the perceptions of citizenry, which Force powers might be used surreptitiously, and so forth. Even if you don't ever play Saga edition, the book's worth the $8 US (or so) just for the setting suggestions and NPCs, in my opinion.
